OILERMAN
At my FF draft I bet a guy Eli would have a better season than Peyton. The criteria is winning 2 of the 3 categories: Passer rating Yards TDs. Crazy?
scine09
Well passer rating I'd say there's no way. The other two I'd say yes and yes just because of the way each team's roster is set up. I think the Broncos are going to limit Manning's throws as much as possible to keep him fresher. And the Giants look like they may be a train wreck and playing from behind all the time so that would lead to a lot more yards and garbage TD's. I'd actually make that bet myself. reo
Depends on what you stand to gain/lose. It's definitely not a safe bet. Peyton is bound to have a fall soon but Eli hasn't really been lighting it up. Looking at the schedules and rosters though.. I'd say you've got a pretty fair shot especially if OGB comes on strong this year. Giants seem to have a softer schedule too.
CMJ
Oman realized immediately he blew his money league draft, hence the bet to make his money back
Dmeade-
I am real down on Manning this year and think Eli is going to have a bounce back year. I don't think you are crazy and I like your odds.
CMJ
Eli had a great year last year.
Jamalisms
How many years of the last 5 and 10 has Eli won two of three?
Guest
How many years of the last 5 and 10 has Eli won two of three? I realize this is probably rhetorical, but he has never been better in two of three and I actually don't think Eli's bested him once in a single of those cats (maybe I missed it). Unless you count 2011--when Peyton missed the whole season. Still, I think it's reasonable that this might be the year Eli outperforms him based on everything going on around the two teams. Jamalisms
It wasn't rhetorical but the results are what I expected. I'd bet on Peyton.
Guest
Eli beat Peyton by 15 yards in 2005. That's the only time he's ever bested him in one of those statistical categories.
Face
I would never bet for or against Eli in anything. He's the most up & down QB I've ever seen. He can look like the worst QB, literally, the worst QB, in the league for a month than throw for 1500 yards & 15 TD's the next month.
SleepingTitan
At my FF draft I bet a guy Eli would have a better season than Peyton. The criteria is winning 2 of the 3 categories: Passer rating Yards TDs. Crazy? I drafted Eli and ran from Peyton. That Oline is suspect to overration. Peyton could very well get smacked out of this season...and his playing career.
oldschool
I expect Peyton to fall off this year but I'm not sure Eli isn't going to do the same. that being said Eli usually bounces back from a bad year with a really good one fantasy wise. A lot could depend on Cruz staying healthy. With Beckham on the outside drawing double teams Cruz will be free to to return the slot and wreck havoc like he did a few years ago. Cruz could be a sleeper in PPR leagues.
OILERMAN
that being said Eli usually bounces back from a bad year with a really good one fantasy wise. Eli threw 30 TDs and had less INTs than Peyton last season. The 2nd half he outperformed Peyton
