Face
FWIW the other day Rappaport said on NFLN that the Chargers haven't officially ruled out a trade but they would ask for "multiple 1st rd picks", which ain't happening. I found it interesting though that he mentioned us specifically, something like "so the Titans would have to give up a lot."
Legaltitan
Our first for Rivers and their first - I'm on board. Add any other meaningful compensation we have to give up and count me out.

big2033
New news per Roto: CBS' Jason La Canfora gets the "strong sense" Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is "not getting past the second overall pick." La Canfora spent the last few days around team executives at the annual spring meeting. "He's going second overall," said one GM who is paying attention to the Mariota market. "I don't know to which team, but he's going second overall." The Titans hold the No. 2 selection and have so many holes on a league-worst roster that a trade down makes sense. If they can't get the haul they want, staying put and installing Mariota ahead of Zach Mettenberger isn't a bad idea either. Meanwhile, the assumption continues that Tampa Bay will take Jameis Winston with the top pick.
Guest
Sadly I think Mariota is the pick but that doesn't mean LaCanfora knows what the hell he's talking about.

Mythos27
Actually its you that needs to back off. Your hate for everything Mett related is starting to show. Rivers may be the least mobile QB in the NFL, who cares? Mett is absolutely more mobile and showed it last year even with his bad knee. Careful Oldschool, @big2033 doesn't constantly dog on Mett at all. We're just so blinded by Mett that we can't see the multitude of horrible qualities he has as a player that ensure he will never improve.

ChesterCopperpot1
Nobody is less mobile than Rivers & Mettenberger is plenty tough. Need I show you the video of him crawling on the field after tearing his ACL?

Nah I've told you the longer I've read and watched the less I am in his favor. I think I've been honest throughout. I really was 60/40 Mett at one point, then 50/50 now 40/60. I think he's going to get hurt if he starts for us again next year.
StephenIsLegend
You don't think we'd trade if a good offer comes along? I think it would have to be a monumental trade at this point. I wouldn't accept it, though. If you think Mariota is going to be your franchise QB, you take him. If you don't, you draft Leonard Williams. At this point, I'd be disappointed if we traded down. I don't suspect a team will give up what it takes to move up to #2 to draft a project QB though.

We disagree a lot but you're alright by me. We're just on opposite sides of the same argument.
