I was pretty clear and specific rather than just throwing out a pajoritive like "fanboy." Japan mentioned it. Tim said he thought we would be stuck with him for 3-4 years. Plenty of others in that exact thread disagreed with me. Not sure if 520 expressed that exact sentiment but he more than any other poster is the most likely to come unglued if we draft Mariota. You seem like you will be pretty upset if we draft him. But I still have not seen evidence of one Mariota "fanboy." 520 was a Locker fanboy. Ditto CTF. Whisenberger we know about. Tampa is pretty close to a Winston fanboy, for obvious reasons. I doubt he would even deny it. Oman and CTF are Fisher fanboys. The posters who do nothing more than rag on Mett as a way to argue our only choice is to draft Mariota if we want to get better are as close as you're going to get. As well, those guys were on the roster or coaching the team. Like I said, if we draft him then watch it unfold. They will undoubtedly be full blown at that point. As for your reading skills, I've already said I don't mind him. I don't think he's the right pick, but if Whiz, who has never drafted a QB in the first round, wants him, then I'm behind the move. I will be pissed if Mariota busts and Mett never gets a shot, and I think that's the likely outcome, but I'll understand and support the pick. I've said this numerous times. Try to keep up. Always felt like Mettenberger gave them the luxury of waiting and that still holds true. If they take Mariota I genuinely believe it's because he graded Top 5 or 10 for them.I'm not trying to be rude and I agree with your general point, but he better grade out Top 2 if we take him.
