OzTitan
It's arguable that Bradford shouldn't have been the sole solution going into Year 3. In this case, injury at QB is a pretty lame excuse when he has injury history and didn't have the job secured anyway. Absolutely perfect conditions to find your next guy early so he can slot in if needed, flexing your scouting and coaching abilities. That, and the Rams QB play didn't seem that bad most of the season anyway.
abenjami
Don't worry. They will get Cutler and he will lead them to 8-8 next season.
Oiler FANatic
First year 7-8-1 second year 7-9 third year 6-10. Just saying.... So that's 20-27-1, which is still a hell of a lot better than the Rams going 15-65 the five years previous to his arrival....
titanshrugged
Outside of QB, the Rams are solid. Just get the feeling Fish is trying prove he can win without having a franchise QB. With this type of mindset, the best he can ever achieve is a wildcard (this years Cardinals team) or a rare fluke season (2008 Titans).

Number9
Fisher has his choice of teams. Miami and the Rams. Miami had to play the Pats-2, Jets-2 and Bills-2. Going to a lower profile Rams he would not get heat from the media. Plus, the Rams played in a soft division. Arizona-easy two. 49ers-maybe a split in bad years Seattle-LOL, they might have a decent year from time to time, no real trouble there. Playing that division, Fisher could easily win four games every year. He could get the other four from the rest of the league. Things did not go as expected. A gazillion high draft picks, money and power have not produced. Fisher knows about having a decent backup. The Titans always had one. The NFL is a bitch. OzTitan
The NFL hasn't been a bitch to Fisher - it's been a really relaxed gravy train mostly.
CMJ
Fisher wanted no part of the AFC East Just like Oman wants no part of this thread
scine09
Not sure who has more excuses made for him on this board. Fisher or Cutler.
Titanjuicy
I would argue that the Titans have regressed every year since Fisher left.
scine09
I would argue that the Titans have regressed every year since Fisher left. They went from 6-10 to 9-7 the very year after Fisher left.
Titanjuicy
They went from 6-10 to 9-7 the very year after Fisher left. And now? BTW, 6-10 with VY until the Washington game.
ctm
And now? BTW, 6-10 with VY until the Washington game. The team had an injured QB the past two years so the results don't matter. Oh wait, are we talking about the rams or titans here?

scine09
And now? BTW, 6-10 with VY until the Washington game. All I know is that Fisher has kept up his reputation nicely in St. Louis as being a .500 level coach. He's now coached 19 years in the NFL. He's been over .500 6 times. In 19 years. Think about that for a second. He's been .500 5 times in 19 years. And he's been under .500 8 times in 19 years. His overall record as a head coach is now 162-147-1. That's a winning % of 52.4. At some point the excuses run out and you are what you are. And I think it's clear given the evidence gathered from nearly 20 years of coaching that the man is a mediocre coach. And whether it's due to his belief that you don't need a big QB to win or whether he hasn't adapted to the new way that the league is or whether he is too lax on his players and thus he has undisciplined teams year after year, he is what he is.
