Climer: Have the Titans waved the white flag by starting Mettenberger?

This is the kind of shit I'm talking about. I've never seen an NFL town's media so passive-aggressively wash the balls of such a mediocre player like Locker.

When Jake was cockroachin' his way through games, you never saw articles calling for a permanent switch. Now that the switch has been pulled, the rhetoric is now "are the Titans giving up on the season."

It's almost like Code is ghost-writing these damned articles. What a fucking disgrace.

Climer goes so far as to question whether or not the team vets approved of the move...as if they're worth an opinion.

They were 2-5 before Mett evert started, the offense couldn't convert a 3rd down and they had been blown out in a lot of their games. Since the KC game Locker had been terrible.

If going to Mett was waving the white flag all I want to know is what keeping Locker as the starter would have been.

We manufacture white flags around here.

The football IQ of a lot of the radio guys (Mark Howard, Frank Wycheck, Jonathan Hutton, etc.) in addition to guys like Climer and McCormick really has to be called into question with a lot of the things they've been saying over the last several days. Kuharsky and Wyatt are the only ones who get it.

For the media to act like starting Mett was some sort of baseless knee jerk, oiuja board decision makes me wonder if some of them actually watch the games. It especially Neil O'donnell and Wycheck.

When I listened the next day after the announcement I got the felling the Nashville media was embarrassed they missed the scoop. It was kinda like, well we didn't miss the story the Titans just gave up out of the blue.

There were credible reports(nationally) the Titans loved Mett and he would start at some point this season. The last few weeks they really picked up steam.

Kuharsky even grilled Whiz about saying the QB situation was the same earlier in the week. As if the coach ever tells the truth about stuff like this.

Get some better connections and break some stories

Umm it is raising the white flag. Just like having Nate and Griffen on the trade block. It's obvious and not about "if" but what as a better option?

Changing QBs didn't raise it

Kuharsky shot back at me when I suggested that he keep asking the question about Mettenberger during press conferences. Oops!

this is just a stupid statement. So keeping Jake as our QB suddenly makes our chances better? Hes done as a starting QB in the NFL a move had to be made. Didnt you notice the crowd cheering louder last game when Mett started? It was not a coincidence.

I cancelled my subscription in 1998 when one of their writers said going to the Sounds minor league baseball game was better than going to see the Oilers.  It was a newspaper then, now it's a tabloid. Soon it will be a weekly.
