JLocker10
Hoge also hates Clowney. He said on Twitter that he'd take Michael Sam over Clowney https://twitter.com/ESPN_FirstTake/status/447034304875331584
Alcibiades
Reo nailed it. Bayless is the contrary guy...always. That's his ROLE on every show he is on. He's MEANT to be the clown. He's meant to make their real experts look smarter. And he's really good at it.
KnoxTitan
Not a fan of Manziel either. He's going to get drafted, and he's going to put up xbox-numbers for about a year, or a year and a half. He'll take the NFL by storm, he'll be on TV every week, Sportcenter will talk about how he's the future of the QB in the NFL, etc, etc, etc. Then NFL DC's will start gameplanning for him, and then someone will pop him good, and he'll have to play all dinged up like most of the NFL guys do, and then he'll be a half step slow and he's not a guy who will thrive in the pocket, then...... NashvilleNinja
It made me cringe to listen to Bayless' rebuttal of Hoge. I know it's his job to play the role of uber fanboy to create controversy but...

MIKE75
I've had a feeling for a while now that Manziel is going to bust and be a huge one.I'm hoping either Houston or Jax are dumb enough to pull the trigger and draft him.My worst fear is QB's falling in the draft and Manziel falling to us.Anyway i definitely hope one of our division rivals scoops him up.Houston is already in my opinion making questionable moves so Manziel would be the icing on the cake.Imagine Manziel and Fitzpatrick on the same team.... charleytolar
... and Hoge hate VY. I don't know about the NFL but based on that video clip he looks like he'd make one helluva CFL QB. Bayless liked Vince Young too.
Guest
Hopefully for him he gets lucky and falls to the bottom of the first round and gets drafted by a good team.
MIKE75
So you really think Wiz is going to want Manziel? No.However once the draft starts you never know who a team has on their best player available board. If he fell to 11 we need to go defense anyway. Stan
Yeah thsi is the same guy that said Rodgers would bust and Brian Brohm would be better. Ha.
Stranger
Hoge makes some excellent points in the video. I'd tend to agree with him on this one. Manziel will be a developmental QB at best. Tim Tebow 2.
IsntLifeFunny
I think his deficiencies as a passer are overstated. He doesn't play with anticipation at this point, but he put up ridiculous numbers against the best conference in college football, and it wasn't just because of his system like Carr and Bortles. The question has always been about his work ethic, maturity, and coach-ability. If he can be coached by a QB guru, I think he could be a good QB. He does escape the pocket too quick, but his ability to extend plays is uncanny. If he can gain some better pocket prescence, which is hard to teach, then he could be the best QB in this draft. With that said, he's a huge bust risk, and I hope the Texans or Jags pick him up so we can watch Casey destroy him.

I think at the very best he has a chance to be a poor man's Doug Flutie or a Jeff Garcia-type QB. Not a bust, but not overly successful either. His ceiling might be too low. And that's if he's coachable and can stow away the arrogance and bullshit. If he can't he'll be VY 2.0.
Stranger
Well despite how you feel about his abilities, it would and will be foolish of any team that takes him in the 1st round. I say it will be, because you know someone is going to take him early. My guess is the Browns. They seem like a winning franchise run by a competent front office. SuperFreak90
After the VY debacle, I believe what Hoge says now. He was right, and knows what he's talking about. Stay away, stay very far away.
