I have watched maybe one college game this season total and don't have cable to watch any sportscenter. He is not throwing guys open but what he does do and do well is go through the progression of the 3 wrs then back to the checkdown if nothing is open and pretty quick about it.. He notices man coverage and where the safety is rolling pre snap and goes to the guy who will be open the majority of the time.. What he doesn't do is stare down WRS or look for one guy and if it aint there take off running.. ALTHOUGH he can run.. He just doesn't unless everything is covered or he sees the room to move the chains.. I also heard saban say that he gives AJ a run play and pass play on top of th3e called play and depending on the D he has the option to check into either.. Saban said he has been excellent at it .. I think McCarrons is a better prospect than Locker was coming out. I don't normally gush over BAMA qbs and before this season I was weary of McCarron and said as much.. But the kid is pretty rock solid across the board.. He is not spectacular at anything but he is good to great at everything you want to see.. I have watched all BAMA's games he has started. He should be in the hiesman talks this season.. He has played excellent football.. The shootout with Texas A&M was special.. BUT if he continues to play like he has and wins the SEC and NC throwing TDS and not throwing INTs.. It will go up.. He needs a LATE season statement game.. also depends on who all comes out.. Came to my attention when I was scanning ESPN stats sorting through YPA, completion %, passing yards, and TD/INT ratio. It's Ball State, but he could be a decent later round pick. Keeping in mind the Titans don't have a 3rd round pick this year, so if they plan on taking a QB it's in round one or two. I'm guessing 2nd with somewhere between the 55-65 pick. Jville - Bridgewater Minn - Hundley Philly- Mariota Cleve - Boyd Arizona - Mettenberger I think the Philly projection is off and I don't see Cleveland taking Boyd, I'd guess Murray there. I think Houston and Stl are in the mix for a QB along with Tennessee - that leaves McCarron, Boyd, Petty, Carr along with some others. Both Houston and Stl should pick ahead of the Titans (STL should have 3 picks before the Titans get their second and Houston should have 2) If Tennessee doesn't take a QB in the 1st (I don't think they will) then the choices could be down to two of the four remaining listed above. At that point I would thank the lucky stars if McCarron was still on the board. That being said if Munch is retained I don't think they will take a QB in the first two rounds.
