Dude sounds like a funny guy...

Reporter:Any concerns about being in game shape?

@BrianSchwenke: Look at this body.

All: Laughter.

That quote is hilarious. Schwenke is going to be a guy that's very easy to pull for. Hopefully he'll give fans a lot to be happy about on the field too. The center position hasn't been anchored down for years.

I finally got around to watching the interview... Great guy to pull for and I hope he is anything what half this board expects out of him, (I never watch/follow college so I still have no clue who he is haha). He is extremely humble and didn't want to step on anyone's toes during that video.

I am betting he gets ass raped.

He's gone from "not even a consideration"  to "he's our starter" in 2 weeks. You don't have to be a genius to understand this smells a little desperate.

I would not be surprised if Ruston is forcing this on the coaching staff.  I hope he has the line calls down.

Seems strange that they would do this right before the bye against a superior defensive team.  Turner must have really been stinking in the field review.

I vaguely remember something like it but not specifics.

The problem with Mawae is that he was a shell of himself. He made the pro bowl on reputation alone just like Matthews did at the end of his career. For most of his career he was great at pulling on sweeps and screens but with us he would pull and rarely make a block. He would also not get much push in the running game. And he would get pushed back more than you like in the passing game but not nearly as much as Amano did.

yeah, I wasn't talking about that. Mawae's main attribute was his technique and experience by the time he got here.

I vaguely remember him saying something about VY.
