If you have 20 minutes to spare, here are all of Jake's passes, scrambles, runs and sacks.  Plays nullified by penalties are included.  They are broken down by quarter, although I had to include one play from the 2nd in the 1st and one from the 4th in the 3rd.  The place I upload them to only allows 5 minutes per video, so I have to work around that.

Oldschool needs to look at the first quarter vid, in the live chat he was disputing my point that Rob Turner totally missed a block on #52 which lead to a sack. Maybe he should follow his own advice and start to use his brain a bit more, or maybe get his eyes tested. Moron.

Oman said it was CJ that missed the block bc supposedly Wycheck said it on the broadcast. I watched to the game live and it was clearly Turner who never even touched the guy. All on Turner.

52 was blitzing from the outside shoulder of Levitre, who was pulling.  It would be very difficult for any center to pick that up.  CJ should help there.  Blitzing a LB behind a pulling guard is going to blow up a lot of plays in the backfield.

One thing that stuck out watching that besides the obivous of that being an amazing game by Locker is that we need to get the ball to Kendall Wright more he is a playmaker once he gets the ball in his hands there is no telling what will happen

He's so shifty and quick it's ridiculous. I think that trimming down in weight has helped him a ton. There was a play in the Texans game where he made Cushing look like a complete fool. Love what they've done with him so far and I agree we need to get the ball in his hands a lot more.

yeah, it really showed watching that again. can see why they want to use him in the slot. I know some people are disappointed with him because he was billed as more of a burner like wallace or steve smith when he's more of a quick shifty guy like a young dmase. assuming locker is here for the long haul (still in question), I can see wright being for him what dmase was for mac. wright is going to make a killing on the short/intermediate passes

Of course he said it was CJ. But the way the ball was handed off would've meant CJ had to cut back in order to make a block. CJ had to finish the fake.

Warmack still looks lost in pass-protection. Several times he was put on skates or just flat out didn't read the stunt or twist. It's been the same thing for three games with Warmack: If the defender is taking him head on, he usually dominates him, but on twists, stunts,and delayed blitzes, he is really getting exposed. Turner is a liability to Jake's health. If he's not outright missing his block, he's getting blown up when they line a man over the top of him.

 

Kenny Britt has forgotten how to play football. The two drops where atrocious, especially the second one where he just seems incapable of out-muscling a guy that's three inches shorter and is thirty pounds smaller.

 

Washington is continuing to run extremely crisp routes. Check out the pass where Jake leads him out of bounds. He absolutely destroys his defender on the 9 route, even though the defender held him after five yards. If KW can clean up his routes a little, we should be deadly underneath with those two. Wright really has a chance to be something special, and I still feel like we're limiting his route tree. He has the ability to get on top of his defender if we let him run some 9's or esome double moves (yet to see one of those). Walker was running better this game, especially on the corner routes where he was open on at least three occasions.

 

Jake looks poised and accurate underneath. He finally showed the ability to take steam off of some of the shorter throws, but he is still having a tough time dropping the ball over defenders. He is still rushing his reads sometimes (Nate curl route in the 3rd where the LB was obviously covering the flat). But overall, he has continued to make the right read on the massive majority of his throws, even when he delivers an inaccurate ball. More than anything, his inaccurate passes looked like a timing issue, which isn't to excuse Jake, but is just to say that I think it's correctable. More reps and a cleaner pocket could lead to a very tough offense to defend.

 

I think this offense is close. The line needs to gel, and Jake needs to continue getting better at standing tall in the pocket. I noticed on the third down pass to KW (the KB block in the back) that his feet were still off, but at least he settled down and didn't rocket the ball too hard, which gave KW a chance to react and make a solid catch. If Jake can get his timing down a little better, and the line can give him a cleaner pocket, I really feel like this offense has a chance to surprise people.

 

The combination of Nate, Wright, and Walker seems formidable, as they are consistently finding space or beating their defender. All three games I've seen receivers breaking open deep, but on most of them Jake has either let the ball go, or the line is giving up quick pressure. Loggains is going to continue to call quick passes until the line shows they can hold their men longer. Once they do, though, I could see this offense being explosive down the field.

Actually you dumb fuck, this video reinforces what I said in chat. There is no way any center in the nfl makes a block on a blitzing LB when the Guard pulls.
