IowaOiler
I doubt Griffin is at much risk of being cut.
kyle021
Stewart probably wont be back next season... Neither will Washington, Wimbley, CJ, or Griffin ( Unless Griffin has a damn good year ) That frees up around 40 million We will end up extending Roos creating cap relief, and then we will probably draft a RB high, along with an OT, and a S Probably go the FA route again to sign a DE, and franchise tag Britt
kyle021
I could see Stevens being a cap casualty as well at years end... That would create what? 3 million relief?
Guest
The Titans Brass loves Griffin and just paid him big money. He's not getting cut.

Guest
I doubt half of those listed will be. I think Stevens is a real possibility due to his health issues. Stewart would surprise me as he's still a high quality starter. He just didn't fit Palmer's offense. I expect him to rebound this year and change the perception that he's fallen off a cliff. IowaOiler
Stevens will remain unless Thompson proves to be more than a situational guy this year. I like Thompson, but he is still young and relearning the position and Walker is already hurt.
Guest
I like Stevens, don't get me wrong. With Walker and Thompson on the team coupled with Stevens' injury issues, he's a possible cap cut next year. That is all I'm saying.

So between Greene, Griffin, Johnson, Stevens, Stewart, and Wimbley which 4 won't be cut next year? There's no way they keep both Greene and CJ, so who's the other unlucky one? Obviously, I am a fan of Stevens, but I just don't get how everyone is willing to cut the guy under the supposition that Thompson will become more than a blocker. CS is a better blocker, more experienced, has proven hands, and is possibly learning the FB role in addition to TE duties. The past several years, his opportunities have been limited because Cook couldn't block for shit; but now that we have at least two (possibly four) all-around TEs, his opportunities in the passing game will increase. You know Stevens had a ton of snaps as the TE in base sets the past few years right? he was basically the starting TE considering how they used Cook. Yes. But because of our line's inability to block, he wasn't used as a pass catcher. He had to stay on the line to block.

You go back and watch some of the games. You might be surprised.
IsntLifeFunny
You go back and watch some of the games. You might be surprised. The offense wasn't setup to take advantage of a possession type TE. The fact Jake has a tough time getting through his reads and checkdowns left Stevens out of the loop.
