JLocker10
Parcells in DAL drafted DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Terrance Newman, Jay Ratliff, Anthony Spencer, Marion Barber, etc He also signed Romo and Miles Austin as UFA BB won those SB with a lot of players Parcells drafted (Law, Bruschi, McGinest, Ted Johnson, Lawyer Milloy, Troy Brown, etc) Parcells in MIA? Meh, not so hot. He fucked up QB twice not taking Matt Ryan and drafting Pat White Still, Parcells is a real good talent evaluator for the most part
Denali
Here's a thought... Would you rather the team be a competitive bunch of chokers (like the Warren Moon era Oilers), or would you rather the team be non-competitive (like ummm..... now)? I miss the Steve McNair era. I miss Steve.

OILERMAN
Hmmm, I guess that stat was before the season was actually over but I could have sworn it's been cited several times this off season. I stand corrected by ctm, they sucked but not all time suckage. Can't believe KC was so bad
OILERMAN
What has Parcells won without BB as his DC? Off of memory, not even one playoff game
OILERMAN
Ah..... The stat I was quoting was points given up, the Titans gave up the most points in the league last season and the most in franchise history, not point differential

Vintagerobots
I think we'll surprise quite a few people next year. Locker was injured on day 1, and as people have mentioned before the injury he looked promising (he had more first down passes and yards than Tom Brady). He also looked really good against detroit and miami; until his shoulder got injured again, he looked almost above average. When he came back later in the season, his shoulder still wasn't 100% on top of missing half of the starting O-line to injuries. We also switched OC's midseason. Chris Palmer's playbook sounded unideal for a first year starter, which Loggain's continued to use. Now he has a revamped O-line to protect him. Roos and Stewart, the 3rd and 28th rated tackles according to pro football focus, Levitre the 9th rated guard and Velascoe the 11th rated center. Warmack is supposedly the best guard to hit the draft in a decade, not to mention that the last two times the franchise drafted an O-lineman in the first round it resulted in two hall of famers (who will both be coaching him). We also have a respectable amount of above average depth, in case we face a boatload of injuries again. Loggains is installing a new playbook which is friendly towards a relatively inexperienced quarterback like Locker. With the new O-line, CJ should be a big threat, taking some heat off of the passing game. The receiving core, a historically lacking crew, is finally looking up. Britt has remained out of trouble (so far, knock on wood) and is seemingly 100% recovered from his injury in 2011. Wright has lost 14 pounds over the offseason, and is looking much more quick and agile, as well as more experienced with one year under his belt. Justin Hunter looks promising as long as he can stay healthy. Another thing is that we are largely ignored by the rest of the NFL, which could very well work to our advantage. Being underrated is an underrated thing. I am an optimist, as you can probably tell. I don't think it's fair to judge Locker based on a couple of (halfway decent) rookie starts and an incomplete, injury riddled season. I know that he hasn't looked great so far, but remember that Steve McNair didn't either at this point in his career. I think the real question is if Locker can stay healthy (which hopefully won't be a problem considering how good our O-line is on paper). If he makes it all the way through the season (or gets injured) and doesn't show any signs of improvement, then we should start looking for a different starter. Until then, I trust that the coaching staff has faith in Locker for a reason.

Adam Vinatieri Without Vinatieri the Patriots would probably have as many SB victories as the Titans have. As far as his performance in Miami, he was in charge of picking the players for what I believe is the biggest single season turnaround in NFL history, going from 1-15 to 11-5. If it's not the biggest single season turnaround it's definitely the biggest turnaround from 1-15. You also can't leave off what he did with the Jets. From 1-15 to 9-7 to AFC Championship game to 8-8 with Ray Lucas as his QB.

Tim
Fisher won the power struggle with Reese. Fish got all the power he wanted. Any idiot knew that M.R was brought in more as a 'money guy". That was his background in management. And I liked Fish a lot as a HC, but I and many others knew knew it would be a bad thing for us for him to be HC with De Facto GM power. The less time he was able to spend on being the HC, the less successful he was. I would have loved for Fish to be able to stay here another 10 years if we also had a GM with teeth. JF left this team a mess personnel wise? Guys, the GM on this team was MR, and before that was Reese. I know JF had more personnel say when MR was here...but Reese has made it clear on a few occasions that he had the final call on ALL draft decisions. There is plenty of reasons for people to dislike JF...but glossing over facts to try and improve your point is weak. Maybe JF did want Lendale over Hester, and maybe he begged for it...but Reese made the call. I agree JF needs to stick with coaching...seems like most coaches who try and do the personnel side along with coaching often fail. Holmgren is an example...good coach, terrible at personnel. Shanahan, Parcells, Reid.etc. I also think part of the reason the personnel was bad was because this team tried to go from a running team to a run and shoot type team...they did not have the personnel for that. The talent was kind of weak either way...but going to a run and shoot made it seem even worse. In the end MR turned out to be a shitty GM as far as personnel. amyinsparta
Well, then, the only way to go is UP and I suspect that is what will happen. And don't dwell on the past and its negativity. It's totally counter productive. In fact, forget it even happened because all we have is NOW. And NOW the Titans have some different players, different coaches, different attitudes, different everything. And NOW the Titans are a good team. See how easy that is?
