  1. Tyson’s injuries go way beyond just hamstring though
  2. I said this before the draft. When a guy is injured constantly in college it usually means he’s injured a lot in the pros too. You can’t take a gamble that high in the draft on a guy like that
  3. Considering the bloodlines, raw athleticism and size, and OSU pedigree you would think he’d be a no brainer. He was a better player in college than JSN but certainly not a better pro. I wonder if some of it is mental. People always look at the traits, production, and athleticism but mental makeup and intangibles get overlooked. A guy like Harrison Jr was always the alpha before being in the pros. He might have never had to deal with adversity before.
  4. Yup. Rookie CJ too. You knew the guy had something very early on. Russell Wilson is another. We will see what Tate ultimately does but when he’s already looking this good it tends to be a strong indicator for future stardom Stud players tend to show you they are studs very quickly He hasn’t played a snap yet but he’s already looking way better than Burks and Davis ever did
  5. I’ve watched enough ball to know that star players tend to show you they are star players right away. You knew it with guys like Kearse and CJ. Tate hasn’t played a down yet but all the indicators are showing that it’s looking like a home run
  6. Fitz, Hopkins, Adams all great WR, but they lacked speed. That's why they're lower for me.
  7. Tyreek in his prime had that very rare fear factor where he could score from any part of the field on any type of play. Even Moss in his prime didn't quite have that. You were scared about him burning you deep, but you weren't necessarily scared about him taking a bubble screen to the house. Hill could burn you deep or take a quick pass to the house. It'd probably be Julio, Megatron, and Hill just barely over AB for me. I do think AB in his prime is a better overall receiver, but the fear factor of Hill gives him the edge for me. You were scared against Hill. He could flip the scoreboard in a flash.
  8. His impact should be measured by what he does as a blocker. I don't expect a ton of targets. TE haven't been a big factor in the passing game typically in Daboll's offenses. Ideally, Tate and Robinson are eating a lot.
  9. I think so too. Seems pretty clear to me they want guys where the scheme fit is clear. That was notable in the FA moves and in the draft. I heard one of the podcasts talk about how Reese wasn't really a fit in Saleh's scheme. Saleh doesn't really use hybrid guys. He would just be an EDGE (risky) or off-ball LB.
  10. My favorite pick. I think Borg did a really good job matching need and value together. Seems pretty apparent if we didn't draft Tate at 4 he would've been gone quickly after with multiple teams lurking. I think GM get too cute sometimes trying to trade up/down the board. I'm glad we stayed and picked a guy we had strong conviction on. And Borg got guys where you can see how they would fit. We'll see how these guys pan out, but my initial thoughts are favorable. The picks generally made sense for the most part.
  11. 6'0 224 lb with 4.3 speed. Worth a shot. And he does look pretty fast so it's not just combine speed.
  12. You're throwing darts at this point in this draft. He's got some intriguing traits. I'll take a flyer on a RB with that type of speed.
  13. I remember when a bunch of pundits absolutely hated the Seahawks draft many years ago and I think that was the one that had Sherman, Chancellor, etc. It's ok to have initial thoughts, but giving an actual grade at this stage I always thought was pointless.
  14. LT or EDGE will be the two biggest needs. If Faulk pans out, it's probably a very good well-rounded player but not a dominant sack guy. I have doubts he's a double digit sack guy. That's the only issue I have with the pick even though I like Faulk. We'll still need a more explosive guy opposite him.
  15. I can see him being a bigger, taller Reggie Wayne (if he pans out). This wasn't a great draft. In most other drafts, I don't think Tate is a top 5 pick, but you can only draft from what is there. I don't love his chances of being an elite WR in the league, but I can see an outcome where he's very very good for a long time. Let's hope for the best. This will be huge for Cam if works out (crosses fingers)
  16. At this stage, it's more about the thought process and plan. I liked that Borg appeared to have one and did a good job executing it. We'll see how these guys pan out. I had a few reservations about Tate before the draft, but I'm OK with it. Of the guys available, he made the most sense. Get someone who could be a WR1 and elevate Cam to the next level. That makes a lot more sense to me than Styles at 4, especially considering we ended up with Hill later. One of the podcasts I listened to made a good point about Reese. Not really an ideal fit in Saleh's D. It's clear they want guys who will fit certain types. Faulk is the Arik Armstead, Mykel Williams. Hill is a very prototype LB Saleh has had in SF.
  17. Cowboys did well. Don't love what the Jets did. Bailey is fine. Kinda meh on Sadiq. Good player, I'm just not the biggest fan of TE in round 1, especially an undersized one. I like Cooper Jr, but Concepcion or Boston would've made more sense to me.
  18. The pundits were way off this year. It's why it should always be taken with a grain of salt.
  19. @AussieTitanFan08 has been on this agenda will move on from Ridley
  20. They didn't need too, but it's part of playing the game imo.
  21. All the talk was Love, Styles, Bailey....and it ends up being Tate who no one in the media talked about with TEN. I agree he was prob their target. Their reaction making the pick suggests they really wanted him too. They played it well.
  22. I feel like that was part of the smokescreen. People were running with the Saleh wants defense narrative constantly. No one in the media talked connected TEN to Tate. It was a good smokescreen.
  23. My guess is someone trades with ARI to 3 and takes one of Reese or Bailey. Titans will take Love barring a blockbuster offer to trade down. I think all the Styles and WR talk late was just to try to see if a team will make a blockbuster offer to move ahead of the Giants and trade with TEN. I'm also going to say TEN trades back into the 1st given the rumors for KC Concepcion. Cam gets two new explosive weapons on offense and the team speed greatly improves with Love and KC
  24. It's just one geek podcast, but their player comp for Concepcion was Stefon Diggs. He does seem like the type of WR the Chiefs would draft.
  25. I'm thinking if DAL is able to trade up in the 1st and get Tyson/Tate, Pickens might be moved
