And the Titans luck isn't exactly great with these kinds of things. He's not off my board, but he's definitely moving down. -

Which is giving me bad memories of all the Titans guys in the past we drafted who couldn't stay healthy. -

The risk factor just went way up with Carter. Two pretty serious injuries already. Not good. Is his body going to hold up in the NFL? -

He kinda deserves it the way he wouldn't shut up about Carter -

A lot of the KC guys (who also have GB roots) tend to value QB with a lot of physical traits. For that reason, I do think Ward is more likely than Sanders. -

Lack of athletic traits and arm strength. Look at who they've drafted...Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love. Then you look at who guys with Packers ties and who they've had. Guys like Donovan McNabb, Patrick Mahomes, etc. Elliot Wolf was with the Packers, joined the Pats, and NE drafted Drake Maye. Packers guys like toolsy QB. -

I'm not ruling it out completely, but usually if you're set on taking a QB at 1, there's a much more effusive tone you would hear from GM about needing a franchise QB, building around a young QB, importance of franchise QB, etc and not what Borgonzi said. It's feeling like the most probable scenario is a trade down to 3 with the Giants. Probably my biggest takeaway is we need to take Hunter seriously as the pick. I think Borgonzi would be just as happy taking Hunter or Carter at 3. That feels like the sweet spot. -

I agree, I'm just talking about the risk involved being similar. I think they should go after Wills. It helps that Bill C would know the player. -

I agree. But at 3? Possible. I definitely came away with a stronger sense that Hunter is in play to be the pick. Not at 1 though. But he's one of the generational guys Borgonzi mentioned. -

Becton is where Wills was a year ago. They're equally risky agreed. -

If Carter really does run 4.3 I can't imagine him escaping past pick 2. FWIW Von Miller ran 4.49. Dwight Freeney 4.48...a 4.3 for an edge rusher wow if he can do that. -
Sanders profile just screams mediocre QB or bust to me. He might have the weakest arm of all the 32 NFL starting QB in the league next season. People might say Brees had a mediocre at best arm. Peyton was not a super physically gifted QB. While I agree, those guys made up for it by being elite everywhere else. Brees had elite pocket presence, elite accuracy, elite intangibles, etc. Peyton's brain and drive was part of what made him great. He was also elite in the pocket. We're already questioning Sanders in the pocket. Then you add Deion, character questions, etc and it's not a good recipe for a franchise QB imo. High ceiling trait guys do bust too, but I'd rather take a chance on a guy like that instead of a guy with Sanders profile.

From my experience of seeing enough drafts, if they're very injury prone in college, it's likely to be that way in the pros too

Makes me think of when the Browns drafted 28 year old Brandon Weeden in the 1st round -

Overaged and injury prone? Sounds like a Titans pick. -
Allen absolutely can win a SB.........but I'm becoming increasingly skeptical he can win it with McDermott and the Bills. That Bills curse.

It doesn't make sense to go after Darnold and leave him throwing to Ridley and ???? at WR. They'll need to put more pieces around him. -

I'm curious what they think the dropoff is from Carter to the next tier of edge guys. I like Carter a lot, but I don't know if you can just stay and take him at 1 over possibly getting pick 3+ a 2026 1st+ extras. He's a great prospect, but I don't think a non-QB is worth more than potentially that. Unless the offers are weak. If you can't get a 2026 1st in a deal, maybe it is worth it to just stay and pick him.
