Pick my comment apart. Tell me exactly where I'm wrong.

IF you can.

Pick it apart?

It is wrong. Period. You made the insane statement. Prove it.

You presume to know the thoughts and feelings of an entire fan base towards potential acquistions by the franchise. It is a moronic generalization. Indoctrinated to be afraid of talent? That is absolutely ridiculous. You are a casual fan who thinks we should sign washed up has beens and when called out for it you say stupid crap like this. Your posting is on the same level as facebook comments on nfl or titans' pages e.g. uninformed garbage.

Oh I'm sorry. How many Super Bowl rings did you win as a GM or head coach? You're just a fan like the rest of us. Get over yourself.

A much more well informed fan with realistic expectations. Not a know-nothing casual fan like you two.

Has it been established yet if NFLStudent is strictly someone's shtick account?

Here's another one, a member the 'we're the serious, knowledgable fan' club. Just stop. Are you members of the media? Go to every practice? Break down coaches film? Put together game plans on Mondays and install them on Wednesdays? No. Just typing opinions like the rest of us. Grow up.

Couple of quick notes: I think we'll be OK stopping the run this year. Casey & Hill along with the big DE from KC should help this (I've also wondered if he's going to rotate at DT). We need to be focused on the pass rush. Abraham, while 35, is still much more productive than our DE's as far as the pass rush is concerned.

I'd rather have a pass rush specialist who isn't as strong at "everything else" at this point.

I can definitely concede that Pitoitua is at least a decent player and very well may be one who's progressed significantly and/or not gotten enough snaps to show his full potential, but don't you think Idonije would be an upgrade for not much more??? Pitoitua's contract is 1yr/$800K base/$200K SB...Idonije could probably be had for $2.5M/yr.

As nine said earlier, DEs are going for cheap this offseason...and especially at this point in free agency. As I showed earlier, you can cut Amano and Washington, then sign Abraham and Idonije to two-year contracts of $8.5M and $6.5M, respectively.

THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE IN ROSTER SIZE OR CAP SPACE.

To me it's a no-brainer that the current roster with A&W is clearly inferior to one in which they're replaced with these two DEs...the position that just begs to be upgraded and could most decide our final record. I mean, think of how little Amano and Washington would likely contribute this season...and how much more Abraham/Idonije would over Solomon/Pitoitua. The only reasonable argument against these moves would be a better use of A&W's money...anyone have one???

Expectations. Now we're talking. What do you expect from this team? What do you want them to do? If you're so informed you should be able to answer these elementary questions. I expect my team to be in the business of trying to win the damn Super Bowl EVERY year. Do you?

Wrong. Elvis Dumervil isn't washed up. Neither is Greg Jennings or Mike Wallace. But when some of us advocated for the Titans getting THOSE guys as opposed to 2nd string d-lineman, most of this board were NOT in favor of doing so out of fear that they might cost more money than we normally spend on talent.  Cheap, tame, mid-level labor was a Jeff Fisher HALLMARK. He wanted players JUST good enough to make the roster so he could feel a big sense of accomplishment by "coaching em up." He loved that shit so much that it's permeated this fan base into thinking that REALLY good players are more of a headache than they're worth...which is how we end up with a guy like Jake Locker. JUST good enough to make a roster in hopes that some savior coach will polish the rust off him.

The very language that many here speak just reeks of this foolish ideology. "He could be had for cheap!" ... "Idonje won't cost as much as Abraham! I mean, he's not as good a pass rusher, but he won't command a big salary!"

THAT, my friend, is indoctrination.
