Interesting stat, CJ and Greene both had exactly 276 carries last season.

Greene has more TDs and 1st downs, CJ had more yards overall. CJ had 11 more yards per game

The real difference is the 3 long runs.

The real difference is that Shonn Greene has 3 Probowlers in their prime blocking for him... 2 of which were first round picks.

Well, both RBs will have the same line blocking for them next year, so it will fairly apparent early which is better.  I like CJ, and hope he turns back into the RB we all hope he still is, but if I had to make a bet, it would take the guy who likes contact and rarely loses yardage over the pussy who curls up like a girl when he sees a defender.

Judging by the contract they gave him, they obviously expect Greene to have a significant role in the offense....which is a huge (and welcome) departure from the "workhorse RB" mindset that has permeated the organization for most of the past 40 years.

This also sends a clear warning to CJ.  The fact that they made a significant monetary investment in another RB should let him know that his own role (and paycheck) are in jeopardy.  He clearly won't be getting 250+ carries this year....and if he starts as poorly as he has the past couple years, he could find himself backing up Greene instead of the other way around.

Clearly my ass. Wanna make a bet on it (injuries excluded) He had 250 as a rookie with lendale getting 200. There's plenty of room to share in an offense that really does want to focus on the run.

I know actual thinking comes hard to you, but try hard.  Who was coach in 2008 for CJ's rookie year?  And what was his main emphasis on offense?

Team Rushing Attempts:

2008 - 508 (Fisher)

2009 - 499 (Fisher)

2010 - 406 (Fisher)

2011 - 376 (Munch)

2012 - 378 (Munch)

Obviously, Munch doesn't emphasize running the ball nearly as much and Coach Ocho.  My hope is that there will be a few more runs this year as we attempt to run the clock down with a lead late in games, but if that is the case, I doubt it will be CJ getting the ball late in the fourth (injuries excluded).

Again, I like CJ, but for those who are unabashed CJ homers, I bet your palms are getting a bit sweaty knowing there is more behind him than Ringer and Harper.

Sure he does dumb dumb, probably even more.

This team started free agency by paying a guard massive money then overpaying a blocking H-Back and a back-up power RB. They are planning on using a two TE power rushing offense.

The lack of carries under Munchak is not because he doesn't want to run the ball, the lack of carries comes from getting his ass handed to him in so many games and getting blown off the field so often.

It appears you are incapable of processing facts.  Not surprising considering your opinions on most things, but still rather odd.  Munch wants to run the ball just as much as Fisher, despite noodle-arm MH throwing for more yards In Munch's first year as HC, than any Titans/Oilers QB since Moon.  Also, in Fisher's 16 full seasons as HC, team carries were: 478,475,541,462,459,547,468,511,486,420,397,469,593,508,499, and 406 (a 479 average).  Munch, although an obviously small sample size, is at: 376 and 378.  As anyone who isn't pushing an agenda can see, there wasn't a single year where Fisher ran equal to or less than Munch has.

Munch started his HC career by bringing in a run-n-shoot style OC (albeit not his first choice) and investing heavily in the QB position (something Fisher never did, as he was opposed to McNair on draft day, and was apparently forced into VY).  You have a point about blowouts, but it seems a bit hypocritical because I remember you claiming that most of CJ's yards came in garbage time, which is a bit contradictory; as well as Fisher coaching his own fair share of blowouts.  The NFL is obviously more pass oriented now (not that Fisher knows that), and Munch/Webster appear to be attempting to get the running game back on track this off-season, which would seem like an obvious decision based on having a young QB, being a former OL himself, and the team ranking in the bottom half of the league running the ball.

There is absolutely no evidence supporting the claim that Munch wants to run the ball like Fisher, and I would love to see your attempt at providing any.

@Titanruss...1 level of simplicity?  Please, add the numerous layers of intellectual genius you have held back for so long regarding the running game and CJ's immense talent.

Search for it. Rehashing it again is an insult to my fingers.
