I want Eddy Lacy

I dont see anybody wanting to trade up in our spot

This is the other big problem--this is a quantity over quality draft in terms of overall depth. None of the top 15 prospects look special to the point that you'd sell the farm to get one of them. Luckily trading up is more viable from a financial stand point, hopefully one of the DEs does so well a playoff team talks themselves into trading up to snag one.

There are at least a half dozen teams that could take a RB before our pick in the 2nd. Included are several contenders, (Falcons, Packers, Broncos, Bengals) where a quality RB could be a difference maker in their offense.

I want him as well O-man. Looks like you and I are feeling pretty similar regarding this draft.

I'd be absolutely ecstatic to get him in round 2. I think he's definitely a 1st round pick though. Maybe we could trade back up into the late 1st to snag him?

Why was this thread moved to the Draft forum? I thought we established long ago that draft topics related to the Titans should stay in the main forum.

It wasn't, it started in the draft forum, but I'll move it to the Titans forum

Pretty sure the Falcons will be taking Lacy.

Unfortunately, I don't see how he makes it past the Falcons either. Not with "the Burner" burned out. I think 3rd and 4th round options are our most likely target.

The best chance for a team to trade up with us if for one of the OTs. The Rams (#16) or Bears (#20) might not want to wait and hope they can get the guy they want. IMO Eric Fisher is just shy of being as good as Joeckel and the Chargers would be all over him IMO if he dropped to them. Lane Johnson is another option but do the Bears risk waiting past the Chargers and Rams hoping they get lucky? Past the three best OTs there aren't many sure fire LTs left. So yea, we could see some jocking around for our #10 spot for sure even if Fisher and Joeckel are already off the board.

If some team wants Fisher, they're going to have trade into the top 7, maybe even higher

If there's a team like CHI that wants to move ahead of SD and trade with us for an OT, then I see it being for a Lane Johnson

I don't like the idea of wr-rb first two picks. I think the big problem for the Titans in ol then cb/dl. The Titans have already have a lot invested in rb/wr. They need to protect Jake and fix the line so plays are not blown up before they can execute. I really like Lacy, but I think he's gone before our second pick and I don't see a trade happening.

Lacy is good, but he's also running behind the most dominant OL in college football

They seem to just churn out backs at Bama, Yeldon looked just as good

I dunno

Ingram has looked pretty average to me and I thought he was about as good as Lacy is now

And I agree about OL/DL

We need to be strong in the trenches, you can have as many flashy toys as you want, but if you're weak in the trenches is it really going to pan out for you

ARI and DET have Fitz and Megatron and they're picking ahead of us
