OILERMAN Posted January 6, 2013 Report Share Posted January 6, 2013 I know that McNair, Haynesworth and Kearse are obvious, but I think Michael Roos and Brad Hopkins have to at least be considered. Left tackle is one of the most important positions on the field and without one you'll have a difficult time winning consistently. You didn't read the question good enough to help the team as it exists now You already have Roos and Stewart at OT as the team exist right now. The way the question is worded the choice of McNair in his prime is a lock unless you're biased or completely stupid. I also think AH is a lock. An offense with McNair at QB and Moss at WR, both in their primes, would be difficult to stop. For the people saying Eddie George, the only reason you'd want Eddie George is that it would get Chris Johnson off the team, instantly improving the TOP and the offense as a whole. A bit more than 20 touches extra per season... you could call it close, I wouldn't but that's getting into hair splitting. Either way it's more and more physical. Eddie George/guards is a laugher. McNair won the MVP with Eddie George playing about as bad as CJ right now. McNair converted 3rd down so well in his prime that I wouldn't even consider anything at RB. Foster at least has plays off because of the RBs behind him...Tate in particular. I would bet that that "almost extra game a year" easily is cancelled out by amount of time played. That's really the point. I agree with this for the most part. The only part I would argue is that Foster is usually replaced on 3rd and long where CJ stays in. CJ faces contact on those plays picking up the blitz....something he is actually decent at. Also, CJ is not going to get the workload while the Titans are down by 30...which happened a lot this year. If the Titans had the three players (whoever you chose) in their primes, would they win the Super Bowl this season? I'm not sure a QB would have any time at all with Kearse and Haynesworth.
