OILERMAN Posted December 18, 2012 Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 I could def see the Titans beating the Jets tonight More importantly I don't think you can expect Locker to post a real nice stat line against the Jets pressure defense. He needs to move the chains with his legs and convert 3rd downs and make a few big plays. But even more than that he needs to avoid the bone headed throws and mistakes. He talked about both QBs... went through some of the outside reasons they haven't played well (changing coordinators etc..) but ultimately said bad decisions was on them and that Locker's pick 6 last week cost the team the game. I think they became too in love and started injecting a pass happy thought process before he was ready. The run game, should've been the focus as Locker progresses. Maybe they should've gone defense, or oline in the draft. Maybe they shoud've brought in a better backup running back. It's one of his gimmicks as his role on MNF... but apart from those gimmicks, he's not that bad. Gruden is a fluff guy to show the positives of every qb he interviews. Locker may never be great, but I just have a hard time believing he wouldn't succeed in the shoes of Russell Wilson, RGIII, Cam Newton last year, and Kaepernick.
