Our group at work just hired a PhD medicinal/organic chemist from Cal Tech with a 2 year post doc stint at Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla. Would you like to guess what his starting salary at a biotech in Seattle was? Spare me the bullshit about your undergraduate degree from PoDunctU giving you a six figure starting salary in this economy..........PLEEEEEEEEEASE! what's really funny is how you think a scientist in the NW has anything remotely related to a completely different field in the NE. My GF has a phd from MD doing radio-nuclear chemistry, has flown to Germany, Hawaii, and Chicago in the past year to represent her company and new technology... yet she doesn't make what my brother in law (a junior high principal with an online grad degree) makes. your anger does not create a correlation buddy... and yes, i still think it is damn funny you think you know anything about my salary or salary history. If trying to imply that you do not care any amount, it seems the latter makes more sense because if you cared a great deal or a little, or any amount, you could always care less, which is the condition of the former.
