Out of 2200 players my guess is that less than 100 have legitimate complaints and even those are lying through their teeth to pretend that the league had a responsibility for their concussions but that they don't. They absolutely knew it was bad, that's why they wore helmets. It's complete BS that these players would have done anything different had they known the dangers. They were making big money to play a game. If a guy blows out his knees playing, he doesn't get to sue the league and pretend like he didn't know there was a chance it could happen. The concerted effort starts at peewee and goes all the way up. It's the culture of football, not a malicious plan that the NFL concocted in order to squeeze every drop out of the players. With the ciggerette companies, people had a legitimate complaint though I still feel that the individual should be held accountable as well as the company. It's a competitive sport and if you constantly go out of the game you will be replaced by someone who won't. Still you have the choice to go back in the game or hide your condition so you can continue receiving a check. They knew what those risks were, then made the decision to stay quiet about it. Now they want someone to pay them because they chose to continue playing a violent game. The players are as responsible for creating this culture as anyone.
