In order for that to change GMs need to realize they’re giving far too much in lots of spots such as the Bills going for Sammy Watkins. In the later rounds I actually believe you can make value or even neutral move ups far easier. Mostly due to the hit rate curve flattening out after the first 3 rounds. I honestly think within 10 years AI will be assisting a lot of draft rooms. We will laugh about the insane trade ups in the first just like we laugh at Ditkas Ricky Williams trade. I've actually already watch this one but thank you. I do think that there are some inefficiencies surrounding draft picks that smart teams can take advantage of. Something that I am interested in but haven't had the time to look into, is using picks 5-7 not on drafted rookies but rather using them to trade for establish players that other team can't keep a la Ernest Jones. I would assume it’s very effective. Especially for a team who has missed on so many picks allowing for the cap space to kind of fill in for your busts by sniping other teams good players.
