Vandy beating Bama?

As a long beleaguered Vandy fan, yesterday represented a seismic shift in Vandy football. I believe Clark Lea has righted a program that was viewed by most to be the perpetual punching bag of the SEC. I thought the OC called a masterful game by maintaining possession and keeping that deadly Alabama offense off the field. They rammed the ball right into the teeth of the Alabama defense and they couldn't stop them. They hung 40 points on the #1 team in the country. The wild card was Pavia. The kid is the real deal. Not a prototypical QB but possesses that innate ability to make a play when they need it. For Clark Lea, it was vindication for a Vandy Alumni whose heart is in the right place but coaches in the toughest football conference in the country.

I've watched most of Vandy's games this year and after the near win at Missouri, I felt like they were for real. I'm really happy for Clark Lea and the program and this game was a testament to perseverance and doing the right thing and believing in it.

@Starkiller @freakingeek @ChemEngr79 @Alzarius and anyone else:

If catch wind of replay please message/alert me.

ESPN plus is $10 a month and well worth it if you’re a Vandy fan. You can stream most of their baseball, basketball and football games and replay them as well.

This football team is different. I think they’re legit. Their offense is really hard to defend. I love the misdirection running plays and shovel passes.  They happen so quickly and they’re hard for the defense to read and react. They did it on the road to Missouri too but didn’t get the win. Plus they have Pavia the X factor.

Mahalo guys.  Had gone to watchespn or something and looked up replays and saw squat, nothing for Monday on.

Just downloaded ESPN app onto big screen.  Had added ESPN+ just recently in a Verizon Disney bundle.  So good timing.

Hugh Freeze of Auburn said he can't get rid of Pavia. Beat him when he was at Liberty, and New Mexico State.  He went to the portal, and Freeze could have had him but passed.  Pavia is a big God fan, but at the end of the Bama game, he grabbed the mic and screamed "We done Fucking Turnt".  Man of rew words. I guess they have turned the corner. Now if they can keep the coach.

Clark Lea is a Vandy man though and through. He’s an explayer and loves the university. I believe he will stay.

He was a quality QB away from becoming a decent team, and losing one to falling back down.

Enjoying the ride very much, but having a hard time imagining this as a future trajectory particularly based on last couple years.  Bit of a perfect transfer portal storm that also brought along a critical OC.  Wonder how New Mexico St is looking at VU's success on O right now?

In other words, he deserves all the pats on the back for what they are accomplishing this year, but doubt he is being considered as a top candidate by top programs like Franklin was.

Still, going into that Texas game, they were about 2-4 plays away in GA State and Mizzou games from being 7-0, and even the Texas game was still in play.  Pretty amazing even beyond the Bama win.
