chef
would love to see these dudes. Back to Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka soon so ???? Really just love how American metal crossed borders and made people fall in love with it. Like jazz (looking at you Prague), blues, r n b, rap, hip hop et al. We won by modern era Cultural Victory long ago, and are just choosing to Play On at this point.
CreepingDeath
Love The Hu. Caught them in a small venue so they didn't have the dancers. Filled the stage with the musicians. One dude would seemed to only know two words in English - "Next Song!" A friend sent me a link to a Polynesian metal band that I need to give more time to. The rest of song made me want to see a collage of anime characters fighting impossible beasts. chef, and WG53

It was my first metal concert at a small venue They come up on my playlists i've made as a "smart suggestion" yet I skip everyone of their songs. I gave them a try. Just don't like them. To each their own. I love me some Dethklok but I doubt that's everyone's cup of tea. chef

Love these guys. Love the Hu. I like that they've done quite a few songs with American musicians as well. Izzy Hale and Jacoby Shaddix both did vocals on some of their tracks. chef, and CreepingDeath

Those Cultural victories are a lot harder than domination or religious victories... chef, and CreepingDeath

My son is a big band nerd, plays a lot of instruments. Outside of school he's in a jazz fusion and metal band. I had to shuttle the kids, but it was actually really cool. I like Slipknot, Pantera, old Metallica. Can't say Gojira is on my playlist either. I like their message though! chef

Had a good time. In a more theatrical vein, you HAVE to check out Castle Rat. Holy shit did I have a great fucking time. If they play near you, you owe yourself to go check them out. They are playing tiny venues, but sell out everywhere. So if they do show up, don't wait on the tickets. Emperor
Emperor
Nice, Nile and 6FU would both be sick to see live. Both very good bands. Castle Rat sounds interesting.
