Number9

Number9, who specifically did you want the Titans to sign in 2007?

Dwayne Bowe. The rest of it, I do not remember. What I mean by other teams go out and get players is what the NYJ did by getting Braylon Edwards, IMMEDIATELY. The Ravens continue to bring in wrs for Flacco. Then you have the Titans bring in Randy Moss as a decoy. Offensively Challenged.

Bowe was a 1st round pick from KC. We picked Griffin that year. Do you not remember how desperately we needed a safety that year?

He asked me who I wanted. I am saying who I wanted.

So you wanted the team to completely ignore the defensive side of the ball in the 2007 draft?

And what exactly has Edwards done in NY?

You can say that the coaching staff doesn't know how to use its pieces, but, again, the team has gone out and gotten people.

yeah and I was pointing out why we didn't pick him. our need at safety was much greater than our need at WR. next?

I doubt you even knew who Dwayne Bowe was....you were probably one of the fools screaming for Robert Meachum....and Limas Sweed the next year...

Your comments about Givens are ridiculous....The FO brought Givens in right away for Young---can't help it if there is an injury...They even

brought in Mawae to shore up the O-Line...and brought help on D to get him the ball...They canned Volek so he could start, and brought Collins in with no chance of succeeding....Yet, it was Collins who led the team to their best record during the 5 seasons Young ran down the franchise....

Only when the DB's got injured was Young able to whine his way back into starting through crying to "Big Daddy Bud".....And thanks to inferior competion Young showed a glimpse of what the Young faithful needed....Only to fall on his own sword again the next season as he led the way with

temper tantrums, throwing his equipment in the stands, and cussing out his head coach....Surely, this is the man to lead your team....

What a fruitcake....Boy did Hoge get it right...

You were around back when this all happened. I don't know what happened to change you, but the personal insults say more about you than the object of your attacks.

What changed me??? I was the one saying Mario Williams should be our pick---or trade down and get Cutler and an extra pick.....

Instead we sank with Young while Denver got 2 first round draft picks, Kyle Orton (a QB some want now), and the swap of another

pick for the "local" QB we passed on....Even Houston, Young's home town, passed on him---Why? Why? Why?---and what will we get for Young?

All the signs were there pointing toward the possibility of Young failing....begining with that funky throwing motion, college offense he ran--or couldn't run, failing to prepare for the Wonderlic, and so on....Hoge was right and some of us saw it coming...Now we've seen first hand what

he's done at the NFL level....That doesn't mean he cant grow out of it...He has shown improvement the past 2 seasons....We'll just have to see

if he's willing to put the time in or not....potential---I remember that word being teamed with Young around draft time...

Shown improvement? He's the winningest Oilers/Titans QB of all time. Vince acted like a baby with Fisher, there's no argument about that, but he's played well when healthy the last 2 years. He'll definitely start some games somewhere this year.

My point is that you can't have it both ways. You can't say he sucks despite the record and stats when if the stats were bad you can still say he sucked and he needs to put up the numbers, forget his teammates.

What exactly do you think the Titans front office took down to Bud Adams in Houston to prove to Adams he should be cut? The team as a whole decided they wanted VY off the roster and convinced Adams of it as well. Wyatt posted a list of things they argued and much of it was actual play on the field.

Why didn't the Titans front office decide to keep VY since he had a passer rating in the 90s last year? Think real hard and get back to us on that.

Young was not kept because Fisher refused to coach unless Young was gone and Bud wasn't going to pay for Fisher's contract without having him coach.

Everyone involved said they wanted VY gone even after Fisher was gone, nice try

Bull Shit. Fisher is gone and VY is still on the roster atm. If Fisher was the reason, VY wouldn't be cut/traded asap but he will be.

This will have to be put in "context." We are substracting 10 wins because we don't like him. Yeah! Let's see 30-10=20. Damn, he still makes the list. Cussing out Jeff Fisher, take off five more wins. We'll call them "non-quality" wins. Let's see 30-15=15. So now, VY has a winning percentage of .468 VY sucks. :)
