Rice is one of several defensive players whose play has steadily deteriorated and are worse today than they were a year or two ago.….which is a direct indictment of the coaching staff, IMO.
 

Fulton, Avery and Molden are other examples of guys who flashed and showed potential as rookies….but are now below average and a liability.   Which again speaks to the caliber of the coaching they’ve received.

2018 was a shit draft too aside from Landry.  How they pulled off the 2019 draft is astonishing.....that was the outlier draft.

I think Vrabel plays a big role in some of those personnel choices too.  I think the mold of players they targeted is fucked up and outdated for today's NFL.

Think this move ties in with the "at least he cares" quote from Vrabel the other day its pretty clear there are guys on this current roster that simply don't want to be here.
