titanruss
Pumped crowd, homecoming, prime-time, great Defense to face, second start for a rookie. -We all wanted to see the fireworks we had last game. Didn't happen.. but what we did see was oooh so promising, Some bad plays, some great plays. Had that feeling he could do something special at the end. Needs to work on sideline throws... but color me extremely impressed overall, and Vrabel should be fired if he goes back to the gimpy guy/ -Levis is the truth. Dude played great given poor circumstances. "Showed a lot of moxie" as Al Michaels said. -A game where I think every Lineman we brought got real reps. They were not good, but I don't know what could be expected under those injury circumstances. Did solid with Watt but Highsmith on backups just becomes too much to handle. -Chig showed better. -Burkes... eh. I thought he may have a chance to do something, but I guess that was just hope. -Phillips got some good plays. -Henry looked good still and made some plays. -Return game looks figured. -Punter/Kicker are great. -Some bad offensive play calling. -Bad edge game. -We miss the shit out of Byard already, and injuries in the secondary exacerbate that. -Steelers win the TO battle again. I'm so pumped for the future with this kid with what he's fought to do the last couple weeks and how he has handled himself. I won't crown him the franchise, but if he shows growth and keeps us in games when the chips are against us., then it just makes games fun to watch again. Losing sucks.. but as most said all year, this wasn't going to be our season. A loss gets us closer to getting our next high tier Tackle and WR, wins get us closer to the playoffs, more confidence and momentum going into next season. Future is brighter. The franchise isn't in the dumps like we were thinking it was going. Titan up!
scine09
I’m not sure it’s fair to say he played great. He played okay. Some good and some not so good. He showed promise though, which is the most important thing. Some good pocket movement and some real good decisions. And then some not so good decisions. He just needs the reps. If Tannehill played like that (3-13 on 3rd down, 56% completion, 66 QB rating, 0 TDs 1 INT, 4 sacks, 1-4 Red Zone TD Conversions), people would be pissed. People expected Levis to struggle as a baseline performance. In spite of all that Levis had a very real chance of winning the game tonight. If that last pass had more air under it that would have likely been 6 in the back of the end zone. That's just shit he'll sit in the back of his mind for another time. I only caught the 2nd half but he looked good all things considered. Even though it was a disappointing loss it was a game the Titans were never out of. They were competitive which is about as much as you can hope for considering the deficiencies in multiple areas. Good news? We're gonna have a LOT of cap space in the near future. Levis bout to have a lot of toys to play with.

It's not only the final stats, he bailed out the Titans plenty of times, a playmaker at QB is something we've been lacking.

Tannehill is not the future of this team and best case scenario for the Titans is he doesn’t take another snap for the franchise. Let’s just appreciate that he was a solid QB for them for most of his time with them, that he exceeded reasonable expectations when they got him in the trade and move on. This isn’t a Tannehill versus Levis thing. One is on his way out the door and one hopefully is going to be there for a long time.

I say "great" in the context of the situation. 1 WR worth a damn, 8th/9th Olineman getting real reps, in pitt against this line.. etc. Still gave us a chance while fighting bad playcalls. I agree overall though. People wouldn't bash RT for this game because - at this point - RT couldn't have this game. It would have likely been real ugly and he would have been hurt again. He's not going to be healthy enough with the ankle to be a playmaker for us.

jphardy
Levis had no time even before the OL injuries. Kelly tried to get too cute on the first drive, and there was too much dink-and-dunk for my liking. Still, Levis did well overall with what he had to work with. Their pass rush is way better than ATL, so I expected a bit. But you just have to keep your QB clean. That's where it starts, and we're trotting out assclowns like Dillard and Brewer. His best throw IMO was actually the one to Burks on the 4th. That’s an incredibly high level throw over two defenders.

Yeah with Tannehill tonight I don’t think it’s even that close. He’d have taken more sacks for one. And not made some of the throws that we’re all talking about and instead checked it down. SleepingTitan
Subtract about 100 yards passing, add 2 int, and that's what Tannehill would have done tonight.
