“I always like to get better and better every year,” Johnson said. “I feel like I didn’t get better last year. There are a lot of things that go into it, but I’m not the type that’s going to make excuses. It’s basically just working harder, trying to get better.”

Two seasons of decline and excuse after excuse actually

I doubt it. CJ didn't provide many excuses. He simply talked about himself still being good. If I'm wrong, I'd like to see quotes and links, because there can't be many.

Hyperbole, to OMan, is like breathing. This seems a good example. Let's see who has excuse after excuse: CJ or Oilerman.

I'm capable of being wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm not in this instance.

Sox, I believe Oman's point is that Hutch has totally regressed as a run blocker and is much more know for his pass protection. If that is accurate then Hutch is not much of an upgrade in the run game. I don't know if that is the case or not but it's a concern I've seen others voice who do not have an agenda related to the Titans. I guess we'll find out.

Jamal, CJ said last year he was running the same and anyone who knew football could see what the real problem is.

Yeah, he did. If anything it is the absence of an excuse, including many made for himself regarding conditioning, etc. It's a blame dodge, for sure... but I dont equate that statement to excuse after excuse.

Dont remember seeing anything like this.

I seen articles of him saying everyone including himself needs to step up and do a better job.

We know how the FO feels...

They paid CJ and now they are trying to replace the entire interior line.

I am sure they have broke down the film and studied what the problem wayyyy more then anyone on this board.

What do the titans have that might make hutch want to play here? 2 HOF olinemen as coaches,, a mobile qb in locker, an excellent pass blocking lt next to him.. I'd even add we are now becoming a predominantly passing team which plays to his strength ..
