scine09
ahahahahaha. He had okish numbers since Fisher and dinger designed a scheme that VY could look non terrible in, unfortunately it had him throwing half as much as real NFL QBs and that isn't a recipe to win. We saw VY *trying* to run a real NFL offense in Philly and it wasn't pretty. He played three games in Philly. Calm down.
Number9
What qb with numbers close to McNabb has been criticized more? Or even close to as much? Steve McNair was labeled as dumb and a poor passer until Fisher was forced to rely on Steve's passing ability. I think what hurt McNabb most in my mind was how he approached the game after he left the Eagles.
FightinTitan
McNabb is probably the most overrated QB in NFL history.
JLocker10
McNabb did win a lot of games and did do a lot with very average WR (at best) for a majority of his career The guy was throwing to James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, Chad Lewis, and other average players for several years I mean really, outside of 2004 (T.O., Westbrook) and the last few years in PHI when he had Desean, Shady McCoy, Maclin, and Celek to throw to, he didn't have much I can see overrated, but most overrated? Nah.
OzTitan
Overrated by whom, exactly?
OILERMAN
He played three games in Philly. Calm down. Yea, probably his last

Alzarius
If Tebow was a normal QB he would have been cut a few weeks into training camp last year and never heard from again I cant think of any other QB that was drafted in the first round and given up on before his second season starts. Just curious what you mean by if he was a "normal QB"

Just curious what you mean by if he was a "normal QB" It was a joke he was drafted in the 1st round, he's entering his 3rd season, not 2nd. And a normal QB doesn't have a cult following and get pressers as the back-up QB.

The guy clearly sucks as a QB at this point imo as well.
OILERMAN
Yea, but you said cut in training camp last year (2nd year). Thats why I asked. He was reportedly the 4th best QB in camp and the crazy guy who drafted him was already fired, why not cut him?
OILERMAN
BTW, the Jets are not even using him as a QB, they are basically having him run the wild cat in the Ronnie Brown role
wtenn
Donovan is completely full of himself and seeks to not only comment on a topic, but to do so in a way that inserts himself as part of the story. He should fit right in at the ESPN. In fact, he may be the most underrated Meril Hoge wannabe that they got.
Oiler FANatic
Steve Buscemi sympathizes with poor Donovan....
IowaOiler
McNabb made his legacy on dumping the ball off to Brain Westbrooke, and then watching as Westbrooke broke tackles and increased McNabb's passing yardage. Obviously, a west-coast offense is what was they ran and he couldn't control that, but it isn't like he is sifting through 3 and 4 reads and then making precision passes 15 yards down-field. He was good, but the majority of his criticism is warranted....hell, the guy didn't even know the overtime rules. Anyone remember him wasting all that time in the SB when they were down 2 scores?
