I think Russ is a stud too but I think Mahommes is the best. They aren't worlds apart by any means but I would take Mahommes and not hesitate for a second. Sorry, not sorry.

If you are starting a team, Mahomes for sure due to age. Wilson is better right now imo. Especially when you factor in his bad offensive coaches and the run heavy offense he's played in for most of his career.

Lamar Jackson is a very good athlete, maybe great.  If he went to Clemson, LSU or Alabama he would have won a national championship.  The NFL is different.  He's not the best player on the field.  He's still probably the best athlete, but he's not the best QB.  Mahomes isn't a better athlete than Jackson, but Mahomes is the best QB in the league.  The Ravens will win a lot of games with Jackson, but I don't see them winning a SB.

The Titans laid out the blue print for beating the Ravens, keep Lamar in the pocket.  Make him one dimensional.  Most teams don't have the personal to do that, but most of the elite teams do.  He knows he can't survive in the pocket.  I think that's why he gets frustrated.  He has a see it throw it or don't see it run it game.  He throws a decent ball, but he doesn't have a lot of touch.  All his passes travel pretty much on the same trajectory.  He's strong as hell and has a quick throwing motion, but he doesn't have a stand in the pocket plan.  His accuracy is just fair to good.  If he's under duress in the pocket, it's fair.

I remember the game after Mariota was hurt in Houston.  Mariota had to stand on a spot and distribute the ball.  I thought after that game he was going to be good.  I am not sure Jax could come into a game and win just throwing the ball. You wonder why they have not made that a priority for him.  I think they know he just can't do it.  He has to take off, run all over the field and get the defenses tongues hanging out.

I could be wrong.  He could become dedicated to becoming a pocket QB. I think having the talent to break off long runs is too temping for him to become dedicated to changing his game.

Russell Street report.

I never signed up on that board. But I can imagine it’s a bunch of serious white trash, hipsters, and Lamar fanboys. You ever hear their official rap song Ravens Nation? It’s the most embarrassing shit I’ve ever laughed to.
