TitansGuru
http://t.co/roKBmUIc To sign with Denver. I think Bud will top this.

Alcibiades
I honestly think Bud will offer more than that. that's only 12 million per year, which is really not much for a QB, especially one like Peyton.
Stan
He'll take it because he's getting 5 years there. I still don't think he signs here just for the fact that he can't play here long unless the Titans are willing to let Locker sit 3-4 years
notsolegato
12 million per year is no big deal for a 36 year old QB who hasn't played in a year, but 16 for an elite pass rusher who hasn't yet reached his peak is just crazy.
Cyrus
I really don't want this to happen. This is getting crazy. There's absolutely no way I want to make a commitment to Manning for 5 years even if the guaranteed money reflects more of a 2-3 year commitment. This is becoming really dangerous and incredibly shortsighted. The Titans need to continue with the original plan and develop Locker.
reo
We'll probably offer him a 5 yr deal w/ the last couple being easy to get out of and people will freak out.
CMJ
Fuck it. Pass.
Cyrus
I bet that the Broncos will keep pushing up the guaranteed amount if necessary to push the Titans out of the picture. They'll gladly take Manning for another 4-5 years guaranteed. Titans can't and shouldn't do that.
volntitan
The length of the contract doesn't matter as much as the guaranteed money. 5 years doesn't mean he will be there 5 years. I would assume our offer would be that long as well.

TitansGuru
If you want him and the cap is going to explode, offer a big bonus over the time you think he'll play. Then you lower the cap hits this year and next and will have the space to absorb it when it goes up. Just and idea. It could apply to any free agent. It's probably a bad one but could explain the length.
FightinTitan
The $30 million guaranteed money is the target. Keep in mind that a potential ownership offer is worth a lot more than that. Archie has told his friends that the three Mannings' goal is to own a NFL team.
