The traditional Passer rating is also useful but I do think we see it inflated because of the schemes we see across the league. Mariota is the poster child for looking at QBR as opposed to Passer Rating. His variance is pretty huge - he has the 3rd highest variance of Passer Rating (7th overall at 106.2) versus QBR (23rd overall at 43.5). Looks as though Devin Singletary will play also tomorrow, he is averaging 12.7 yards per carry and has 6 catches out of the backfield.
