Thus, those who want to make a statement are not winning the support they might win and bashing those who find the act reprehensible is getting them no where. It is what people have been saying all along. This is the wrong way to protest this issue. Everything is amplified online. Including an insult with every post doesn't help ("numb nut"). It comes off as reading like a touchy jerk. And sure, agree that the anthem protests have become ineffective. Also, throwing insults around online as a way making a point or "joking" has also become ineffective.
