My take: This thing about playing the anthem on every regular NFL game is just way too much. Sports getting politicized, or including a politic-wise term into it, is just exagerating things in this matter. Play the anthem at the SB or at international sport events finals or at medal ceremonies, but also the anthems get played during every game at a World Cup, for example. The anthem is very important to show respect to our flag and country..surely something that important warrants the profits to stop for the length of our anthem. I’d have rather just kept the teams all off the field, but if players want to protest they can do it by not coming out for the anthem. The fines are BS though... Shut down the bathrooms, too. Soon, our home devices (Nest cams, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, etc) can monitor us to see if we are standing or protesting this beautiful and mandatory act of patriotism.
