No sane person wants nuclear war, but everybody isn't sane. I do think we are closer to a nuclear war than we have been in many years and the rhetoric keeps escalating. Russia for example just posted a map of US targets for it's new hypersonic missiles. We have walked from the broken treaty with them and have already started a new arms race. This is very dangerous for all involved. We are not making progress towards world peace, which is very discouraging.

Mutually assured destruction ensures that no sane person would ever drop a nuke. It would take someone off their rocker to do so. Modern arms races are pecker measuring contests. North Korea is not a threat to us. They were never a threat to us. They are desperately attempting to preserve their regime. All Kim was looking for is legitimacy. Kim isn't an insane person. He's quite logical.

Kim is definitely looking for legitimacy. He may be smart and logical, but nobody knows how sane he is. This is a guy who assassinates his own people using missiles and other barbaric and non conventional execution methods. He is a dictator and anyone who doesn't submit or who he feels is a threat to his power is on the chopping block. That is not civilized behavior.

People can feel free to correct me where I'm wrong in this little analogy, but they seem like a couple that were only together for superficial reasons. They knew it and all their friends, frenemies, and family knew it too. Neither of them can stand the other, but there's all this pettin' n kissin' and holding hands and whatever for appearances. They were in the middle of a hate-fuck session and Kim must've done something Don didn't like. Maybe a finger up the butt? Don pulls out, pulls up, and says a figurative "fuck you".

Does that about encapsulate it? I mean, the moral of the story being don't get involved with the crazy bitch you know already has a bunny boiling on the stove.

I don’t question his sanity. He might be a brutal, power hungry despot willing to do anything to maintain power, but I see no evidence he isn’t totally sane.

Using missiles and anti-aircraft guns to execute people? Lol.

Again, not insane. Would personally shooting them all in the head or chopping their heads off make him more sane?

Killing a few of his underlings who aren’t unquestionably loyal just keeps the others in line. Saddam did the same shit. It’s not exactly the actions of a good ruler, but not insane. If anything, it’s coldly calculating.

Now he is giving Kim Jung Un a pass on the death of Otto Warmbier.  He is the worst ever, not just a horrible negotiator but extremely weak.  What does the US get out of giving Kim this kind of pass?  He's literally gotten nothing....

This is quite possibly the biggest joke of his presidency, America getting played by Kim Jung Un, let that sink in for a min.....lmao

Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) on Thursday warned the Trump administration not to be “naïve” about the “brutal nature” of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s regime after President Trump said he believes Kim didn’t know about the mistreatment of Ohio native Otto Warmbier.

“I want to make clear that we can never forget about Otto. His treatment at the hands of his captors was unforgiveable and it tells us a lot about the nature of the regime,” Portman said on the Senate floor.

“We can’t be naïve about what they did to Otto, about the brutal nature of the regime that would do this to an American citizen,” he said.

For Trump to downplay this or act like there wasn't knowledge of this is ridiculous. Warmbiers family must be sick to hear this.

Brutal, yes? Crazy? I haven't seen that. His actions, even those that are brutal, are a means to and end.

In all these occasions Trump has to stop saying, well _________ (insert guy's name here) denied it, and that's that!!!  Just an awful combination of being damn insensitive and weak as hell.

I'm curious what yall believe he should have done differently.

I feel if he did what yall believe he should have, and it made the situation with NK worse, yall would have still blamed him.

How can he win in any situation? Regardless of any road he takes, yall always have criticism.

Let his negotiators do the negotiating and not do some summit just so he can get in front of the cameras.

Stop taking “advice” from Putin over our own Pentagon and CIA.

Not excuse dear leader for the treatment of American prisoners (not to mention Korean prisoners) in Korean prison camps.

I see a recant moment coming soon: I meant to say 'why would I believe him?' , see what I did there,... yeah,.. just like last time,... so that should clear everything up again,... next,...
