The draft needs are set

I think there’s a good chance Hurst is there. The only team I’ve seen mocked to draft Landry is now the Rams, post-Suh acquisition. It’s all, Will THIS make the Rams the best team ever? crap. I think Titans get Landry if they want him, but I’m not excited about him.

I think take the surprise talent like Hurst if he falls to you, and get your edge guy later. Some have projected Landry and Key down to the 2nd. That could be the place to trade up aggressively.

fwiw, it seems like they're looking at a lot of the round 2-3 LB (Leonard, Nwosu, Griffin, Sweat, etc). Last year, it was easy to target WR when you're picking at 5. And even at 18, that was one of the most loaded CB classes in a long time. This year, it's different picking at 25. It is starting to feel more like a BPA scenario. Then we may attack needs like LB after that.

I doubt Landry will make it to us. He was hurt this year & still put up 10 sacks. Teams will watch his 2016 tape & it's just too good. He's a dominant edge rusher & there's only so far they fall.

Hurst is the interesting one because even though he was cleared that same condition dropped Star a good way in 2013. Plus he's only 6'1. I don't think that matters at all & it almost seems to be a benefit, they get better leverage. There's a bunch of dominant DT's under 6'2. PFF, who have been spot on projecting lineman & pass rushers, rated him off the charts, the best player in college football. They had him #1 against the run & pass, and he played a lot of NT, so he may not just be a 3 tech. But it seems like teams & the media aren't as high on him. We also look for much bigger DL then him but who knows, I personally think he's way too good to pass up.

I read this earlier, hopefully this could cause him to fall to us. I don't think Robinson gives a fuck about 40 times really.

it certainly feels he has fallen behind Vander Esch in the ILB rankings.

it is interesting how we have started meeting with a few WR that could be an option at 25, if ILB/OLB are tapped out by 25, WR could be the direction JRob goes.

It appears so.

I'm anxious to see more private visits come out.

Last year, our first 4 picks all visited.

Yeah i was thinking that too. We might have to go BPA at 25 if we cant find a trade partner.

Private visits? Or meetings at the combine?

Private Visits.

It's like that every year too.

Here's what will *know* will come to pass:

We'll draft at least 4 players from the private visit list.

Every single draft pick will have either been visited with or worked out.

Yeah but his vertical & broad are terrible. Vertical jump especially has a lot of correlation for defensive players, it's basically their 1st step burst.

If he's been injured for these drills that's one thing, but if not I'd be a little nervous.

Im becoming more & more excited about Leonard, Ive been reading up on him since you & Hunter brought him up.

If that's the case trade down....maybe Clev would give us 35 and their other late 2nd rd pick(63 I think) to move up to 25 to take McGlinchey., about where he is projected. They have a big need at LT now and a couple of teams drafting after us also have OT needs. Three 2nd rd picks could really fill the need list...ILB, Edge and S.
