heyitsmeallen
We will lose. It’s really sad that the FCC is getting away with this. Hundreds of thousands of fake comments posted on the bill supporting it in order to “even out” the comments because of so many coming in that were against the bill. the FCC was behind the comments and it’s been proven but Congress doesn’t care. Ajit Pai has released propaganda videos in the lst few days where he’s making fun of people who think Net neutrality is a good thing. I hate his fucking smug ass piece of shit face. I know that if this passes and things go the route of paying extra on top of your internet for things like social media and streaming I’ll drop social media like a bad habit. We can only hope that the dems win the elections in 2018 because that’s the only way we will get Net Neutrality back. Since a shit ton of Republican senators are in the telecoms pockets and are in full support of stripping net neutrality. (My two NC senators got 100k in the last election from telecoms.) I reached out to them and informed them that supporting this bill has lost my vote for the next cycle and I’ll try to sway as many people In my district as possible. This will do nothing but hinder small buisnesses, small ISPs, and hurt the middle class’ pocket book while making the mega Telecom corporations even richer and give them more control. MadMax
Adversely affecting the millennials social media may be the tripping point to starting a frigging revolution. I'm all for it. (the revolution, not stripping Net Neutrality)

Like mentioned above, this will bring about a ton of Lawsuits. Iirc Multiple lawsuits have been filed about the fake comments. I looked up to see if my name was used for one and it was, So I’m considering joining the class action that’s in the works. Edit: you can look up and see if your name was used at https://www.comcastroturf.com/
heyitsmeallen
Here’s a list of the members of congress who sent Ajit Pai a letter supporting getting rid of Net Neutrality, included in the list is how much the ISPs paid to buy them off. reo
Ajit Pai doesn't give a shit about the public backlash or response. He was appointed to the FCC for this very purpose. There was no way he wasn't doing it. It'll come down to the legal ramifications and if the public can push Congress enough to pass some laws protecting net neutrality. That's where the fight is now. This vote has been a given since last November.
reo
As a side note, it does worry me a little as to why so many Russian bots were supporting the repeal on the FCC site. What exactly are they expecting to get out of this that they'd go through the effort? Is it just the potentially inability to ban accounts on things like twitter making it easier for them to create spam bots for propaganda?
