Huston
Your missing the whole point, this offense is based off running and passing under center. They play off each other with different formations based off the same personnel.

Show me running more from shotgun would have been more effective given that passing from shotgun wasn't working. To me, that is it. If the passing game isn't working from shotgun, then why should we expect our run game to? Explain to me why I'm wrong. Beginning of 3rd quarter to our 4th quarter TD. Show me the numbers. We only ran the ball three times in the gun in the second half. Once to Henry for five. Twice to Murray for seven and four. Henry had a nine yarder earlier under center, but excluding that both the shotgun runs were the best of the day for both backs. Both shotgun runs to Murray were his best runs of the day. And really, what are you going on about? It’s too limited of a sample size to make any definitive statements regarding success of running from shotgun. What is definitive is that running from under center simply isn’t working and hasn’t worked since Seattle.

You can't expect a run first offense from shotgun. Is that what you are suggesting? Because the passing game wasn't working from shotgun. According to you, we should move away from what isn't working. But?

My point is you shouldn't have to have 3 Larry Allen's inside to run the ball. We have Lewan who is possibly the best LT in the league. Conklin started slow but the last month or so he's been excellent. Kline has been good all year. Jones is at worst decent. Spain is solid. This OL is more than good enough to run behind. SleepingTitan
Henry is a locomotive. 10 carries per game doesn't get the train rolling guys. Murray needs to be in 3rd down situations. We are SQUANDERING Henry's best years while PANDERING to an aging, often injured RB.
