A U.S. Postal Service mail carrier in Alabama is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after allegedly feeding a meatball filled with nails to a dog.

Susanna Dawn Burhans was arrested about two weeks after the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint about her, Capt. Mike Salomonsky told AL.com.

We've had some pretty good ones.

This one carrier was chased by a pitbull and stopped and picked up a brick and threw it at the dog, the owner got his pistol and came at the carrier. The idiot had no idea what a mistake he made. He got charged and in a shit load of trouble.

I'll start kicking and swinging my bag at a loose dog or pepper spray the dog right in front of the owner. One kid(14?) ran and got his dad and as the dad came towards me and the dog the dog barked at me and I took out a heavy bag of medicine and threw it at the dog right in front of the kid and his dad. The dad got his dog, apologized and drug him off. A few days later I laughed at the kid about the whole incident. He told me "I'm sorry you;re afraid of my dog(sarcastically)" I told him I wasn't afraid of his dog or his dad.

One pitbull on my route was the most aggressive dog I've ever seen. He broke through a window to get outside at me. I stopped delivering their mail. Have fun driving to the post office to get your mail. The lady told the postmaster it didn't bite. A few weeks later she told the postmaster they got rid of the dog because it bit one of their kids in the face.

I've been around some Pits that were so mean they definitely needed to be put down.

Dog fighting and pitbulls are very popular in New Mexico. Every Mexican or wannabe thug out there has one, wants one, or breeds them.

Recently there was an elderly lady mauled here in OKC by two pitbulls. I think their owner was charged with manslaughter if I'm remembering right.

I have 4 Boston Terriers and they are a part of the family. They are not vicious at all and hardly ever even bark. If someone fed my dogs meatballs with nails, it's because they are a sadistic fuck. We keep huge padlocks on both of our back gates and only take them off for the guy who does the lawn. The dogs don't go back outside until I make sure the gate is properly shut and locked after he leaves.

Are postal carriers allowed to conceal and carry ? If I had to deliver mail in one of the hood areas I'd probably feel a lot better having a weapon just in case.

When I was a kid we were playing out in the front yard. My Golden retriever was running around playing with us.Typically a very friendly lady delivered our mail and she often would pet and play with our dog. That day it was a different guy though. The mailman walked by and our dog approached him in a calm playful manner. The asshole whipped out his pepper spray and sprayed the shit out of our dog. My step dad charged the mailman so he tried to pepper spray him too but fumbled the little can. The mailman got the shit beat out of him by my step dad and we never saw him delivering mail in our neighborhood again.

No, not allowed to carry. In most cases bad areas leaves the mailman alone

Usually there are leash laws and your step dad would have been in violation for having the dog loose.

I can only assume the mailman did not report this incident. Had he reported it your step dad would have been charged with assault of a public servant, a 3rd degree felony.

Wouldn't that only be the case if the mailman was on the job?

Easily avoided.  Hire a PI to find the mailman's home address, then go there and wait for him to arrive, and beat the shit out of him then when he's off duty.

I mean really, do I have to think of everything?

Ya i can't remember all the details but I remember the cops came. The mailman also apologized to us so he probably didn't press charges.

Good God!!  These people are crazy.  What the hell was the dog jumping through the window to do?

this made me laugh for some reason. i kind of imagine a rookie gang member getting up to harass a mailman and the rest of his crew starts yelling at him for it. "you gonna mug a mailman? smh"
