Too many people don't understand the 1st Amendment or freedom of expression and think it means you can say whatever you want without any repercussions from society at large which isn't remotely accurate. If I wore a Fidel Castro shirt or another one depicting cops as pigs then stood in front of a camera representing my place of business, I promise you I would be fired on the spot and likely blackballed from my professional circles. If such an event were to occur it would be 100% on me.

People are seriously more against him being on a roster than rapists, abusers and killers. At what point do y'all realize this is just a game. There are more important issues in the world. Get y'all priorities in order. How dare he stand for what he believes and uses his constitutional right to protest peacefully. He has the right to protest, as others have the right to react. Oh and, fuck you and your hated for our flag and our anthem. And both are more important than your wasted life. See? You had the right to spew your opinion and I have the right to react. Mythos27
If this was 1968 many of you would be throwing a fit over this too: They were also told that they were selfish, disrespectful, and that their protest had no place at an athletic event. Yet everyone wants to pat their own back and talk about how far we've come. Nearly 50 years later and the attitude many Americans harbor about race sounds exactly the same. Oh and I have no interest in Kaep as a QB, he's a shell of himself.

originaloiler
I don't care who we get, but we all know that we need a more capable backup for Marcus.

You can't talk about police brutality while wearing a short with Fidel fucking Castro's mug on it. CK came off like a tone def punk who has no clue what black america really goes through. He was more about the act of protesting than the subject matter itself and it showed.

The way I see it, a lot of people simply didn't want to hear it and used the flag/patriotism as a shield to make him a villain and thus easier to ignore. His message wasn't genuine and was clearly just someone in search of a crusade. Either way the idea he would be black balled if he were still considered a good QB is laughable. if Ray Rice wasn't washed up when he knocked out his GF, he would have found a team. if AP beat his kid with a stick this summer rather than two summers ago, he's on the street. Yeah, I don't think he's being black balled. He just isn't that good anymore.

I mean, the controversy is obviously involved and he probably would have more interviews at least without it but yeah it's comical when people say that he is legit being black-balled. They clearly don't know what that means because the league sure as hell isn't colluding against him.
