Clapper confirmed this. Yesterday the Senate panel asked for Trump's financials from the treasury. There have been various reports about billionaire Russian buying Trump real estate for way over the value. A lot of people seem to think it's actually money laundering Trump is afraid of getting exposed more than the election stuff. The Russian oligarchs stole most of the industry in Russia, and are involved in all kinds of organized crime activities. They are some of the richest people in the world but they can not freely spend their money because it could get seized etc. in the banking system. The news Rachel Maddow has reported implies that the scheme to launder their money works through large corrupt banks then goes through a multi-staged process. 1) The corrupt banks lend money for expensive/large real estate deals to corrupt developers/investors, 2) then a while later, the Russians buys the real estate at inflated prices, and 3) then the corrupt developer/investors pays back the bank. The bank gets its money back plus transaction and interest fees plus strengthens its relationship with the Russians, the developer/investor gets a quick profit (laundering fee), and the Russian gets a tangible asset that they can use and/or mortgage/sell to obtain "legitimate" money. Trump might have been doing this for years, which explains all his shady Russian contacts. Also based on his talkative sons, his kids are probably involved. He put Mike Flynn, known to be paid by foreign govts for lobbying services, including Russia, into NSA position over the direct recommendation of the former President who had to fire Flynn from a similar post. He continues to declare Flynn 'a good man' and investigation into him a 'witch hunt'. He fires the former AG calling her 'too political' after she authorized FBI investigation into Russian election shenanigans. He continues to attack her. The FBI, CIA and other intelligence agencies confirm Russian meddling in the election. He continues to obfuscate. Then FBI director Comey asks for additional resources to complete probe into Russian hacking. Two days later he is dismissed. He refuses to release his tax returns -- despite the clear precedent to do so by all that came before him. This is our democracy that he is attacking. Just today he allowed Russian press corp into the Oval Office to photograph he and his Russian handler but refused US press corp same courtesy. Can you imagine if Obama had done same with Iranian press corp? His original collusion with the Russians in helping him win the election may well not have been impeachable.
