AussieTitanFan08
mock drafts this far out aren't really a great indication of draft day, but a tonne of guys now have the top 3 going Garrett/Foster/Allen. reason Foster goes 2 to the 49ers is they have taken two interior DL the last two years in the first round and have no need for Allen. if we can't get Foster and Adams returns to LSU i'm leaning towards either trading back or taking Takk McKinley
Huston
Wouldn't touch Peppers, not enough production on defense to warrant all the hype.
Adams
I'll be honest...every year Bama has a stud LB coming out who was better than the previous LB. I haven't studied him yet...it just felt like this with Ragland, Mosley and McCains. He could be a stud...we shall see.
siamesedinasour
So, both Pro Bowl ILB/MLBs for the AFC are former Bama ILBs - Hightower and Mosley. That seems like relevant info here.

Foster is everything that JRob/Mularkey demand in a player, tough/smart/team first. if he is there he should be our pick at that Rams pick, problem is there is a good chance he is the 3rd best player in this draft class by next April, we would be relying on either a couple of QB's or maybe Fournette/Williams to go in the top 5 for him to be available to us. Huston
The more I think about what Robinson is trying to build, Foster would be the Conklin of this draft. They are taking him with he first pick regardless.
Huston
Unless Allen fall lol.

socaltitan
Unless Garrett shreds his leg or gets in some type of serious trouble before the draft, there's about a 0% chance he would be sitting there at 5. I do think if the Titans pick can get to 4, there's a decent chance that Allen could fall to us. I think CLE takes Garrett. SF has taken two 3-4 DE (Armstead and Buckner) back to back in the 1st round. I think they'd take a QB. JAX is the wildcard. I don't know what they would do. Titans will have a lot of options at 5 or 6. They could take Foster. They could take Adams or Peppers. They could trade down with a team needing a QB and try to recoup the 2. You might lose on those guys if you do, but you could get someone like Cunningham.

I think you are right. But I just think it is very unlikely the top 3 picks are all front 7 players. I went back to 2002, and only once were even 2 front 7 players picked in the top 5 - in 2011 (when the QB talent was so bad, Blaine Gabbert and Jake Locker were both high picks). I think this year bucks the trend because of the crazy front 7 talent at the top, but teams get stupid when it comes to offensive players, especially stupid franchises that get top 5 picks. No doubt a QB goes top 5. I wouldn't be shocked to see Fournette or Cook in the top 5. Even if not them, someone will take Peppers, Adams, Humphrey, Wilson... Someone. One thing is for sure: the top of the draft will look different in April than it does now. Allen and Garrett look like top 3 locks right now. We will see if the draft hype keeps that in place. Questions about Garrett's injury, Foster's off-field behavior, Allen's... Well, I don't know of any potential knock on Allen, but I'm sure there are some. Dreams of Mitch Trubisky or Leonard Fournette leading an offense to the playoffs... One of those three will be available at five, and it's almost surely Foster. If the Rams can keep losing and get the 4th or 5th pick then the Titans are really in a nice situation. Foster might be the bottom of the potential picks. Garrett is #1 and Allen is #2. I'm starting to think Allen could be there. Assume 1 or 2 QBs jump to the top, it gets very interesting
