titansfan
Real "legendary" performance tonight from Lebron... Lebron better just hope he can be the next Kobe... The MJ comparisons need to stop... Lebron will win a championship or more someday but MJ he will never be... LBJ really let me down. I don't know whats wrong with him. If its fatigue, if its disinterest, but I am shocked that he and Dwade played like this tonight... Either way Im not hurt. I was hurt a month ago when my Lakers got swept.. JLocker10
Kobe has 5 titles and is 3 times the competitor James ever will be. I Say that as someone who flat out can't stand Kobe. Somes guys have it, some don't. What seperates the all time greats from all stars is the will and the desire to be great and the guts to go out and get it when it's there for the taking. Agree Lebron is like the A-Rod of basketball to me... He'll win eventually, but he'll never get the respect that the other all time greats receive... chef
I was going to make a comment about young fans getting caught up in the hype on and off the court as a primary means of deciding who's the best, but leave it to say good for the Mavericks to come in and win as a team. Like Oldschool said, a pretty down year to do it (reminds me of the Steelers/Cards Superbowl year for the NFL), but a ring's a ring. It's funny that for all the crap the NBA gets about being a showboating celebrity-based sport rather than a team game (a la NFL), championships like tonight's as well as the great runs by the Pistons and Spurs should remind everyone you get crowned as an organization afterwards, not as individuals before. oldschool
On a side note, I'm happy for Jason Kid. One of the best pure point guards to ever play and to get his first title at 38 is awesome.

Guest
Downtown Dallas is insane right now. People walking up to cars giving high gives. People stopped on the interstate celebrating. People honking at everyone. All I can think about is how great it would be to have this is Nashville.

He deserves this title, worked his butt off and fought like a warrior to get there. Congrats to the Mavs !
Jonboy
So happy for Dirk and Kidd. I can't stand LeBron, but there was definitely something going on under the surface. Just a complete no show in crunch time.
MadMax
I hate Lebron. I hope this is as close as he ever gets to the title.

Kobe has 5 titles and is 3 times the competitor James ever will be... and he's no MJ either. So I think it's safe to say that James will never be MJ. NashvilleNinja
Kobe is just as good as MJ... ...the same way that spam is just as good as ham, cubic zirconia is just as good as a diamond, and your hand is just as good as a vagina.

abenjami
Kobe has had a great career but I honestly can't think of one aspect of the game Kobe excelled at more than Jordan. He might have been a better ball handler is all I can come up with and that's debatable.
mctitan53
Jordan is the G.O.A.T.... There is no doubt at all about that. Kobe is right behind him. Not "creeping on his turf" or anything, but right behind him nonetheless.
