If anyone caught the OKC GS game tonight they were more entertained watching the NBA than they have been in a very long time. The guy is electric. His efficiency stats are off the charts. He's simply unguardable. That game winning shot. That was Jordan-esque confidence. And what's scary is that his game is going to age incredibly well. Lebron's, Durant's, Westbrook's--age will get them. Curry? Not as much.

Steph gonna shatter all scoring records.
Btowner
I underestimated him. I thought his upside was Reggie Miller. He is better than Miller.
Face
I realize I'm in the extreme minority here but I never understood why Jordan is considered the end all, be all, no doubt about it, uncontested GOAT. There's a bunch of players I'd at least consider even with him & a few I'd take over him. For example, if I owned a team & could use a time machine & bring back any player ever, in their prime, to win the championship this year, I'm taking Kareem over Mike in a heartbeat. Titanjuicy
Curry should be the first defending MVP to win the Most Improved Player award the year after, along with another MVP.

Best regular season efficiency rating for a player putting up 28+ that wasn't a center. He was a lockdown defender. 6 time finals MVP. Scored 40 a game one finals. All of his numbers went up in the playoffs, and he has one of the highest clutch ratings ever. He's the GOAT hands down. He's honestly the only player in any sport that can absolutely lay claim to that title. 30 minutes ago, JakePA_Titan said: I like him. Don't get me wrong, he is awesome. When it comes to a statement like that, Curry doesn't belong because to be in Jordans or Kobes class, there has to be longevity to it. Ppl are starting to wonder if Curry does or will have constant ankle issues. See if he is still running circles around ppl 4 years from now. Also, he only has one title. A long way to go. If Curry is that good, 4 shouldn't be too hard to get. And LeBron is still looking for #3. I agree that longevity matters. But in terms of what he is doing on the court right now he's playing better ball than anyone has since Jordan. Lebron was never this dominant, and even if he was close at certain times his efficency wasall predicated on athleticism and never pure talent...which is why his numbers are going down because he never developed a jump shot. Oh, and Kobe doesn't belong in the same sentence as Jordan. His efficiency numbers have always been pretty terrible. Longevity and high volume is his claim to fame for most of his career. Bill Russell has the most Rings. It's only because ppl want to think Jordan "did it by himself", while continuing to disrespect and diminish the greatness of Pippen and what Rodman brought to that team after he was acquired. If ppl want to keep saying Jordan is far better than Kobe because he has 6 rings and never lost the Finals, then I'll start saying Pippen is better than Bron for the same reasons. Even Jordan fans that dislike LeBron wouldn't agree with that because acknowledging Pippens greatness hurts Jordans legacy that he "did it solo". And before Rodman there was Horace Grant, an all star caliber PF. Jordan also played in an era after the great Celtic, Laker, and Piston teams were on the downswing, it was a weak era. Who'd he have to beat, the Knick? The Shawn Kemp Sonics? They did beat the Blazers who were excellent but I think things would've been different had some of those West teams after his heyday, the Shaq/Kobe Lakers, Duncan's Spurs, etc, had been around. Nobody today would come close to stopping Kareem. Center is the one position, unlike everything else in sports, that things have gone backward. Kareem would destroy the centers now, and a guard just doesn't have the same impact as a big guy.

So who was the volume guy? To act like Kobe jacked up far more shots and was more selfish than Jordan is wrong. Also Kobes career shooting %, although less than Jordans, is pretty close. Also the years Jordan sat out (which we all know why) Pippen still took the Bulls to the Eastern conference championship twice, I believe. Once for sure. After LA lost Shaq, Kobe put a team whose starting PG and C was Smush Parker and Kwame Brown with Odom being the second best player, on his back and took them to the playoffs two straight years and almost knocking off the #1 seeded Suns, twice. You want to put Curry in the same sentence as Jordan, but Kobe doesn't belong? Please. Kobe isn't in the same stratosphere as Jordan in terms of FG percentage. He never even put up 47%. It isn't close.

And Kobe is selfish and torpedoed more than one championship run (most notably 2004 Finals vs Pistons). Jordan's on top of the mountain because he went 6-0 in NBA finals and won the MVP 6 times. And Face while Grant was a good player, he was nowhere near as good as some of the big guys that Kobe coat tailed to a ring.

That's minimal. 49% for Jordan to Kobes 44%. Big whoop. This is not insignificant. Jordan is closer to 50% and Kobe is closer to 40%. For a shooting guard that is pretty big. And maybe Jordan was smart enough to not start lobbing up 3 pointers recklessly like Kobe.

To get a "A" in High School, you need a 92%-100%. That's a full 8 points before you drop to a "B". And you are saying 5 points isn't close? Wow. And you can refer to my previous post about the huge difference in 3s taken. Jordan was all mid range and taking it to the hoop. Kobe did it from EVERYWHERE on the court. Because it isn't. Not in sports. Tell me--is 59% and 64% pretty close in terms of completion percentage. Or what about .240 or .290. in baseball? 44% for a shooting guard is pathetic. Have you watched any of his games this year? He shoots the three because he has zero lift anymore any can't get to the rim. So yeah, he's not afraid to shoot it because it is the only shot available to him. Oh and he's been having the worst statistical year of any starter in NBA history.
