Ron Rivera goes for it on 4th and short more than anyone in football. I'm sure that Mularkey knew that. It was an impossible spot. Pretty much an automatic first down. He'd never do that today. Doubt Ron would have been fired before the end of the season, that's just not how our owner operates.
