I hate my team (am I wrong to do so?)

Keeper/IDP/QBFlex league with salary cap. Each team can keep two off and 2 def keepers. Keep that in mind when thinking about how the draft plays out. I hate this team and believe my run of finishing top 3 for the past 6 years is over. I went RB heavy early on which is out of character and it's going to bite me in the ass.

Starters:

QB D Brees keeper

FLEX R Tannehill R2-3rd

RB M Gordon R1-10th

RB T Yeldon R4-3rd

WR J Jones Keeper

WR J Maclin R3-10th

TE J Cameron R7-10th

K M Crosby R14-3rd

DL A Clayborn R16-3rd

DL R Quinn Keeper

LB L Kuechly keeper

LB D Johnson R9-10th

DB R Blanton R12-3rd (No idea who this guy is)

DB D Searcy R13-10th (homer pick)

Reserves:

RB R Mathews R10-3rd

RB C Spiller R5-10th

WR A Cooper R6-3rd

WR V Cruz R8-3rd

TE M Rivera R17-10th

DL C Avril R19-10th

DL V Curry R20-3rd

LB D smith R15-10th (cut to get under Salary Cap)

LB A Williamson R18-3rd (cut to get under Salary Cap)

DB A Verner R11-10th (Don't laugh. he's a FF stud because he gets picked on)

I am probably not qualified to even comment considering i have never done auction or IDP, but  I think it looks it looks decent.

You went RB heavy early on and ended up with that shit show for your RB's?

I'd imagine since its a keeper league the good ones are stashed away and the rookies go quick.

You have some players who will win you games every week. I like Brees and Tanny. I think Julio Jones is the #1 receiver next year. Your RBs don't inspire, but that's because you have too many rooks. I imagine one of them will hit.

yeah that's the problem. Most of the 400 point RB's were keepers and the ones that weren't went 2nd,3rd,4th, and 5th overall.  I was left hoping Cj Anderson would fall to me at 10th but he went 5th. The second tier of RBs suck this year.

RB had been a major challenge for me this year. I've been overdrafting Adrian Foster just to try and get a guy who can put up numbers for part of the year.

Of the non-elite bunch, I like Miller, Martin, Abdullah, and Stewart at their ADPs. Foster as well but that's desperation on my part. Ingram is intriguing. Murray could surprise if Oakland isn't down but that's a big if. I keep wanting to like Hyde but I don't.

I think Spiller could be a sleeper for NO. He fits what Brees does perfectly. The question with him as always is health. I drafted Yeldon for the simple reason he's going to get 20 touches a game. The guy I'm most annoyed with drafting is Gordon.

@Abenjami, whats the word in San Diego on how the Chargers plan to use him? I couldn't find much while I was on the clock so I said fuck it and drafted him.

Yeah Gordon hasn't looked great and that offense will still utlilise Woodhead a lot.

Word is Gordon isn't picking up the pro game very quickly and it's going to be a real RBBC including giving some carries to Oliver.

shit. I expected Woodhead to get the passing game reps but didn't think they were going true RBBC. Thats going to suck for me. oh well I've done pretty well with sub par backs in the past.

That's just what I have heard around here.  Who knows how much truth is in those details, or whether that is just the plan for the first part of the season until Gordon (hopefully) gets up to speed.

It's a keeper league and I think Gordon is a good long term play.

Did you try to trade up into the first 5 picks?  I would love your team with one less WR and CJ Anderson...

I'm on the Gurley prayer wagon.

Never been a fan of the QB flex. Might as well make it a 2 set QB league cuz no one plays a bench player over QB in flex.

I dont have the same feelings toward Gordon as most. They drafted him in the first. Even if hes not looking great, he is still going to get fed.

Woodhead of course will be 3rd down and steal some redzone touches but I wouldnt worry about him losing many touches to Oliver.

Overall I think the team should be competitive as long as Brees does his thing.

we altered QB scoring so that it's viable to start other players at flex. If we hadn't I would agree with you. We also have a salary cap so you pay the price if you carry two good QBs.
