ctm
I thought Whtehurst was OK as the back-up As I posted earlier, he and Mett were about equal.

OILERMAN
As I posted earlier, he and Mett were about equal. If you believe that then why are you concerned about back-up QB? This team has too many holes to worry about that
ctm
If you believe that then why are you concerned about back-up QB? This team has too many holes to worry about that Because neither one of them were very inspiring. And to be honest, I'm not really concerned about the immediate holes for 2015. This is a multi-year rebuild. Do the best you can this year. I'm much more concerned about getting a quality QB, first and foremost. Plenty of time for everything else if you get that right. Right, but what if they don't love the qb's available this year? If there is no difference between a guy you could draft in the 3rd round and someone in the 6th, wouldn't they be better served drafting someone later as "competition for Mettenberger"? They can save the higher picks for better players at the other numerous need positions.

If you don't think Mettenberger is any better than Whitehurst then we're still screwed at backup QB next year if we take Mariota, aren't we?
Face
Which is not inspiring Lol, please. If Mariota would've played a month behind that OL last year he'd be at the golf course with Locker right now.
Bobo
Off the first read? You're likely to see dump-offs to running backs, curls and slants. (which are in fact, from the pocket). I can post GIFs of 2nd and 3rd read throws that he missed if that's of any value. There are some Post-Wheel route combos that are off the first read, more or less (defensive key). I think anything that seems relevant to what he likely be doing here has value, and I'm sure it take quite awhile to sift through to find all that. So kudos to you for once again doing that for a prospect for however much light you can shed on the situation. But we can have a lot of positive gifs for any prospect, just like awesome looking highlight vids, but it may not tell enough of the story.
tgo
Just some interesting Mariota stuff from an article today. Lots of comparing the QBs this year to the Manning/Leaf debate since NFL teams are supposedly split about 50/50 on who the highest rated QB is. One particular interview with an AFC team at the scouting combine typified how the process has gone for Mariota. He was asked extensively about his on-field capabilities and if they could translate to the pros. A team source said they walked away thinking Mariota could handle anything in the NFL. Anything. It's a virtual certainty that Winston and Mariota will be the top two picks in the draft. Four different general managers told me they believe the Titans will trade the second overall pick. One GM said the Titans have made it clear the No. 2 spot is for sale. One team executive I spoke to estimated there's a 50-to-60 percent chance the Titans move the pick to a team that wants Mariota; another said it's almost a certainty. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2407974-winston-mariota-could-be-the-next-manning-leaf

tgo
I bet it's to the Rams. Browns are my best guess, they've got the ammo (unless they lose it due to TextGate). I know the Jets, Skins, Browns, Chargers, Saints, Rams all have real interest.

That's why Inhave a hard time see the Browns right now but I hope they did though.
