Would anyone trade a 4th for A Peterson?

I would not.

I've said time and time again. Give running back _____________ a good line and he'll be productive. You don't need to spend money on a back like Peterson when you can get one for basically the minimum who will produce at a high level.

So you're saying in '08 you wouldn't trade a 4th rounder for AP? I'm sorry but I don't believe this. I know you don't value backs but this has to just be schtick.

It's not. I think you can get a guy off the street who can rush for 1,500 behind a good OL.

Obviously there's better running backs than others but the job when compared to the other jobs in the NFL is easy. Run through the holes given and hold onto the ball. Break a few tackles along the way.

I value a running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield way more than I value Peterson. For example, give me Matt Forte in his best year over Peterson in his best year any day of the week.

So AP just ran behind dominant Viking OL's for a decade? This is the perfect example of what I was talking about, the league rightfully stopped valuing RB's like they did & doing retarded shit like taking KiJana Carter 1st or guys like Cedric Benson & Cadillac Williams over corners & pass rushers. I even think a 1st round RB is a real stretch. But now it's gone too far, this is honestly the craziest thing I've ever heard in my life.

I like your posts a lot Scine because you go by what you see rather than the media but I really don't even think you believe this.

What? That you can find any RB on the street to produce at a high level if he's given enough carries behind the right OL or that I'd rather have Matt Forte in his prime over Adrian Peterson in his prime?

Time will tell on this but I don't think that the Cowboys will miss Murray in the least.

That you wouldn't trade a 4th rd pick for '07 APete

I wouldn't. I'd rather use it to either find depth somewhere on defense, on improving the OL or find a guy who catch the ball.

I finally know what that '09 stands for -- how many bonghits you do before jabbing another needle into your iHRBs "i hate running backs" voodoo doll.

"Alex, I'll take a not-likely-to-make-the-team backup swing tackle rookie over likely-first-ballot HOF Adrian Peterson rookie, for $200, please."

I don't hate running backs. I think they're a dime a dozen.

I wouldn't trade a 4th for him if I was the Titans. Acquiring a stud RB at the end of his career does nothing for this big of a rebuild.

If I'm someone like the Chargers, Colts, Falcons or Patriots I'm rushing to the front of the line.
