Can I ask why you think setting a maximum width is better for large displays? If I have my browser maximized at 1920, I don't see the purpose of seeing more background area. The wider the forum area is, the less vertical space long posts take up since the text wraps. It just seems like having the maximum being proportional at 85-90% is best in my opinion. Obviously I can just not maximize my browser, so it isn't a big deal, but I don't remember the old theme having this small of a maximum. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I also agree that it is more difficult to distinguish between posts as there is no distinct separation. I haven't said it, but I am also going to darken the gray behind the posts about six more shades. It's already done on my dev skin and still looks modern while being easy to read. But my initial reaction is "WTF? This sucks." However, I can deal with it. I know a lot of work and effort went into it so I can appreciate that.
