freakingeek
Because if he had been traded and anyone else on the oline had gotten hurt, we would have no depth. At least now we have options for Roos' replacement.

TF_Titan
Roos started slipping last season and was sliding even further downhill this season. I'd still rather have Roos at LT and Lewan at LG, but as it is they should get an immediate upgrade at LT and a LG doomed to suck.
Face
No, they tried Bruce Matthews at LT Hopkins 2nd year one game, massive failure. Then Hopkins played LT the rest of his career As good a career as Hopkins had I don't think I've ever seen a LT get destroyed like he did in the '93 KC playoff game
Cyrus
#Titans LT Michael Roos will undergo season-ending knee surgery next week, sources say. Could possibly end his career in Tennessee as well — Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) October 8, 2014
Jas
I guess the good news in this is that Lewan will get experience and make rookie mistakes at LT this year while the team is losing anyway. Certainly better than him basically being a rookie at LT next year when hopefully the team is better.
Tex in a Can
Webster's plan all along for drafting Lewan in the first, he could foresee this scenario and he deemed it as highly probable. Our top of the line O-line will continue to dominate, allowing us to run at will. Not to mentioned giving our QBs loads of time on passing downs and keeping them upright, clean and uninjured. kyle021
Plug and play Mettenberger as well See what we got here
Rogue
Plug and play Mettenberger as well See what we got here Mett, Lewan, and Sankey. It'd be kind of cool if these guys rookied it out this year...they'd all be vets next year.
freakingeek
So you mean this is the exact opposite if why you didn't wanna trade roos? I wanted Roos to start one more year and I wanted to have depth on the Oline in case we had injuries. Now that Roos is out, we have capable depth. Has we traded him we'd be thin. What part don't you understand?

freakingeek
So you sayin if roos was traded we wouldn't of signed someone else?? We probably wouldn't have signed someone as capable as Lewan.
MamlngEnvy
We probably wouldn't have signed someone as capable as Lewan. Well if we traded roos I assume lewan woulda still been the pick so he'd be starting anyway right? Either that or they sign a vet to start till lewan was ready...with or without roos its same scenario
