Face
The guys been with the same team his whole career, and they've always been terrible. And especially after this debacle of an offseason I'm sure he wants to take his time to see what's out there. I didn't think he'd sign here right off the bat. If still prefer Dansby or Spikes, but I'm warming up a bit. We just better not give him a big contract.
Guest
Look up the percentages of players that sign with a team after they leave town. It's highly unlikely he signs here now.
Alcibiades
Why don't you just post the percentage? It would have taken you as much time as it took you to write that, since you clearly already know it. I just tried to google search it, and I can't find the percentage. So, please, just tell us. There's also a good chance he may have his mind made up on Denver. He's not a kid anymore, he's 31, he may want a shot to win the Bowl this year, though I think Denver could fall off a good bit. So, please, just tell us.Not sure if maybe you're just trying to get him to admit it... but I suspect nobody has this percent and telling people to look it up is just a rhetorical way to tell someone they're stupid. I certainly don't recall ever seeing it studied or cited. It's assumed high but who knows what it really is? It's actually the type of thing where I wouldn't be surprised to find out that assumptions are overstating the degree of certainty.

OILERMAN
Or maybe oldschool meant, "look up the percentage". Then we'll all know!
SuperFreak90
With Karlos Dansby and Brandon Spikes potentially hitting free agency, why the Titans should wait on signing D'Qwell Jackson http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2014/3/2/5459774/tennessee-titans-should-wait-on-signing-linebacker-dqwell-jackson
Face
You busted me. You're calling me stupid? That's rough :-). I know what you're saying but I wonder if there's a difference in FAs like this, who were cut before 3/11, and unrestricted FAs, who's agents are basically negotiating with teams for weeks before the "official" start of FA. I think these guys basically know we're they're going, or at least have it narrowed down to 2 teams. Case in point Mario Williams, who visited Buffalo & was basically waiting on us & Peyton. It was pretty clear he knew beforehand it was us & Buffalo. But a guy like Jackson, who was probably blindsided by this move, and who's agent clearly couldn't get a head start talking to other teams, became an unexpected FA. His agent is probably just fielding calls & setting up visits.

The difference being they dont have an idea on money.so it'll depend on what Denver offers. Didn't the safety we signed last year go somewhere else after and come back? Leaving town us never a good sign but in cases like this it'd probably less of a death sentence than it would normally be. Changed my own opinion on the matter mid-post lol

Changed my own opinion on the matter mid-post lol This is pretty much where I'm at. The guys spent 8 years on a terrible team, and just went thru a debacle of a coaching change. Then he gets cut, and all of a sudden he's a FA & his agent hasn't had any time to prep, so he needs these visits. He's probably just doing his due diligence. And I'm probably completely wrong, which is often the case. Either way, I'd prefer Spikes or Dansby so I wouldn't be too broken up if he went elsewhere.
